A great performance, but what did we learn from this game?

Onyeka, our most experienced player, is on a different level. He wasn't just a player who helped keep Brentford up in their first season in the Prem. He is just a solid all rounder. Not only was he class but he took a yellow to show them we wouldn't roll over to get our bellies rubbed.

Wright off form still needs to be in the side. Been very unlucky lately but it was going to come good at some stage. The best finisher we have by far.

Tats is a much better player than some will ever admit. Always gives 100% and has the ability to beat a quarter of the opposition before putting in the perfect cross.

Lampard isn't just a plan A manager. The second best side in the Championship just got taught a lesson off us again with Lampard changing things. 6 wins out of 6 and took 1st place for a game? Get back in your place. Us 1st and champions Middlesbrough 2nd. Hope we play like this in away games from now.

Can’t beat watching the game on the beach and winning against the smogs (again) and knowing when I fly back in a few weeks the guy behind me on the flight is Boro ✈️😎✊🤣🤣🤣🥳

Sounds like I am in the minority, but I wasn’t overly impressed by Boro. Good team that plays tidy football but I thought they still lack that cutting edge up top. Their persistence to keep playing from the back in the first 20 mins reminded me of the QPR game at home with the amount of turnovers we won in their half and we should have been 2-3 up at half time.

Caveat the above with what was the best performance by us in terms of work rate & commitment in months. It’s obvious Frank is a prem standard player, Tatts was a man possessed & massive credit to Latts & Bobby, Kitching has got some work to do to get his place back IMO.

Hopefully this was a turning point and we finish strong now, roll on Saturday.

Great result, lost my voice this morning. Perfect Monday night football.

What is important is that we follow this up Saturday. This result doesn’t matter if we don’t win on Saturday.

You can see why they tried to sign Armstrong. Despite the hype around them and their possession, they didn’t actually do a lot.

A draw would be okay.

Only thing is, we do need to start winning away soon. So although coming away with a point wouldn't be bad, a win would give such a tremendous lift to the club. .

So, I am a bit on the fence. I don't see a draw as a bad thing at all in isolation, but in the grand scheme, we DO need to win away real soon.

4 points from the next 2 away games would be fantastic.

I agree about the 4 points but winning at Sheff U will be very tough so we need to beat WBA.

I think we need to win to give ourselves a bit of breathing space going into the Sheff U game.
If we don't win either it will then be 3 months without an away win

Has anyone gone up via the autos having had such a poor spell of away from?

Although I'm now a lot more confident we'll get 3 points Saturday after last night's performance.

What a fucking arsehole comment. I swear theres some right cunts on here at times!

We've just won one of the biggest games of the season and this prick wants to take a dig at some of our fans!

We've not won away since the 25.11.25.
Lost several games from winning positions, the idea supporters shouldn't be critical of that on a forum whose purpose is to discuss the teams performances is wild.

Yep. If we don't sort the away form out we won't be top again for long with 3 of the next 4 games being away. We desperately need a win at The Borethorns as I don't see us winning at Sheffield United unfortunately.

Exactly 100% agree.
But its amazing how some cant just enjoy the positive result for even 12 hours without a snide remark.

Rent free old timer.

Best side we've seen at our place all season. You can see why they were on a 6 game winning run. We only had 28.5% possession at home. We have played much better but have been slated for being poor because we haven't scored and been hit on the break.

If Wright didn't have his shooting boots on for the first time in ages and they didn't give away a penalty this place would have gone into meltdown. It would have been seen as our worse performance for a long time and our players would have been seen as bottlers and the question marks would have continued with Lampard.

I knew there are a few nominations up there but I think Ive found the prize village idiot on the boro forum.
Dynamo Kev 😂😂

what a *** end to the winning run. to concede those two goals was shambolic and that handball call from the ref lol. his had is behind his body, dont know where else he can move at. if anything its moving away from the ball.
cov hoodoo continues. they have won their cup final when they fail to win away again all season, we will be laughing at them in the middle of the play off pack.

cov were ***, their game plan was try and boot us and play long balls. the got very fortunate to be gifted them goals. we had yet another crap day against them, everything just works out doesn't it. no tactical masterclass, no super football. a big boot forward for the second and first like their other half chances was all down to us trying to force it when playing out. time and a place for that. not early on in this game.

they looked like a bottom 3 side fighting for their lives. trash, no chance they will finish above us come may,

I’m not a racist….but….

no one can convince me that Conway, Hackney, Morris are all not just the same person
Hackney and Morris i absolutely get mixed up a lot at a glance. Morris looks like he enjoys the occasional burger and Hackney has floppy hair, genuinely the only differences.
