I mean he’s not wrong. On paper we’re up there with Ipswich’s squad for quality of player. The problem we have is the performance isn’t always there. Tonight we were on it from minute one, we’ve got to get as close to that as possible for another 14.
I have been very complimentary to Boro but my bro in law went to the game and is a neutral and he said he wasn't that impressed and cov looked better

An amazing night at the CBS

The team worked so hard. Played with intensity from start to finish

Amazing finish from wright for the second goal

I personally thought Middlesbrough looked a quality outfit. Klopp like off the ball and pep like on it. Everytime we won ball back it seemed like matte rofntime till they win it back. That said they didn't make many clear cut chances

I do think they will win slot of games till end of season though so we need to take this performance and mentality into our remaining games. 14 games left. 8-9 wins might do it but we may need double figures depending on how our rivals

But for tonight just enjoy the amazing win. Tonight was a win for the real fans

Great night. PUSB
Wow - Klopp, Pep and Slot mentioned here 😂

Well that was more than a tad lucky. They were much the better side except for the first 20 minutes. We have forgotten how to play possession football. Long ball long ball long ball.

On the plus side Wright back to form and so was Rudoni. The much maligned Lati looked tighter on his man than Kitching. Thomas also had a good game, why on earth was he left out against Oxford

Sakamoto is so frustrating. Ghastly against oxford, so tricky tonight

....and Frank the Tank does look the sort of player we needed
I thought Sakamoto was excellent against Oxford. Weird how we all see things so differently !

Just back from a school night post game celebration pint and all I can say is "Hellball" seems to be pssing the ball about but being really open at the back. Bit like us at the end of last season.

Said if they were that open wed score a couple, i was wrong.

We scored 3.

A proper grid it our result tonight, something we've been lacking in recently.

Frank the tank is the missing piece, only his first game and he looked in control and covered space in the middle of the pitch excellently.

Haji looking like a premier league striker, strong and smart positioning throughout the match, unlucky to only hit the post with his first chance.

Having a full squad and being able to make substitutions that don't bring the level down is a massive plus for the rest of the season.

For all the Lati haters you have to admit he did an excellent job tonight.

We now need to take this performance forward and smash West Brom away from home.

Lati is really good if you don't expect him to be passing it out from the back and allow him just to concentrate on defending

City have still got a lot to do.
Ipswich are pressing hard.
Boro are still a form team.
Millwall are not done yet either.
I don't think Hull will stay the pace though.

I dunno if me watching their GK for close on a full hour, and put a curse on him.
He was very impressive in the practice but not so much when it really counted.

Tremendous performance. Full credit to Lampard, you could see the work that had gone in to our off the ball efforts & the boys carried it out superbly. Did an absolute number on them. 🩵
