A great performance, but what did we learn from this game?

Onyeka, our most experienced player, is on a different level. He wasn't just a player who helped keep Brentford up in their first season in the Prem. He is just a solid all rounder. Not only was he class but he took a yellow to show them we wouldn't roll over to get our bellies rubbed.

Wright off form still needs to be in the side. Been very unlucky lately but it was going to come good at some stage. The best finisher we have by far.

Tats is a much better player than some will ever admit. Always gives 100% and has the ability to beat a quarter of the opposition before putting in the perfect cross.

Lampard isn't just a plan A manager. The second best side in the Championship just got taught a lesson off us again with Lampard changing things. 6 wins out of 6 and took 1st place for a game? Get back in your place. Us 1st and champions Middlesbrough 2nd. Hope we play like this in away games from now.

Can’t beat watching the game on the beach and winning against the smogs (again) and knowing when I fly back in a few weeks the guy behind me on the flight is Boro ✈️😎✊🤣🤣🤣🥳

Fair play boys. I’ve been critical in recent times but rightly so as it’s just not been good enough. Last night we looked back to our old selves.

need to back it up with 3 points against the baggies

Sounds like I am in the minority, but I wasn’t overly impressed by Boro. Good team that plays tidy football but I thought they still lack that cutting edge up top. Their persistence to keep playing from the back in the first 20 mins reminded me of the QPR game at home with the amount of turnovers we won in their half and we should have been 2-3 up at half time.

Caveat the above with what was the best performance by us in terms of work rate & commitment in months. It’s obvious Frank is a prem standard player, Tatts was a man possessed & massive credit to Latts & Bobby, Kitching has got some work to do to get his place back IMO.

Hopefully this was a turning point and we finish strong now, roll on Saturday.

Great result, lost my voice this morning. Perfect Monday night football.

What is important is that we follow this up Saturday. This result doesn’t matter if we don’t win on Saturday.

You can see why they tried to sign Armstrong. Despite the hype around them and their possession, they didn’t actually do a lot.

A draw would be okay.

Only thing is, we do need to start winning away soon. So although coming away with a point wouldn't be bad, a win would give such a tremendous lift to the club. .

So, I am a bit on the fence. I don't see a draw as a bad thing at all in isolation, but in the grand scheme, we DO need to win away real soon.

4 points from the next 2 away games would be fantastic.

I agree about the 4 points but winning at Sheff U will be very tough so we need to beat WBA.

I think we need to win to give ourselves a bit of breathing space going into the Sheff U game.
If we don't win either it will then be 3 months without an away win

Has anyone gone up via the autos having had such a poor spell of away from?

Although I'm now a lot more confident we'll get 3 points Saturday after last night's performance.
