Clive: "and now lets hear the highlights of the game". Cue a few seconds of drowned out commentary behind incidental music, before that fades and we just get CWR incidental music for a minute or two...no, wait, I can just hear the Oxford goal now, very faintly, behind the music again. What a station!

Very concerned about where goals are coming from .
And also concerned about why robins tries to play for a 1-0 away from home

Started off ok..tactics looked better than Saturday first 20 mins....played bako on left....and Sterling on right midfield....with two upfront Hiwula and Max.

Sterling looks like a schoolboy..scared to put a foot in ...really hasn't looked the part so far.

Bako has done a bit better on the left but not much and Hiwula in 2.5 games hasn't even looked like the answer. He's missed a good few clear cut chances now. He has to step up to the plate.

Bayliss shining star again..looks different level.

Jch and JP may come on too late though to save us!
Let's write Hiwula off like the masses did with McNulty. It did the trick last time. The fact he's got himself into positions to score is positive.

People poo pooed fans looking at previous stats of players brought in but they do tell a tale. Goalscorers are like hen's teeth it's true but fucksake we need to threaten the opposition..... Are we ?

He needs service

Again though striker instinct - moving ahead of defenders - looking for parried shots by the keeper - the forwards we have do not have those instincts - he might of you bung him in the middle.

And sterling is shite , not equipped at all for this level , or a typical prem player who believes he’s too good for this level so the effort isn’t there

He does make runs, we don't have the ball long enough to do anything

Nothing in the middle, huge gap between strikers and midfield

Other clubs play the formation with some success

Goal comes from our goal kick

We can't actually keep it in their half, it needs changing

I'm still going to say it's early days and things will improve. But it's a hell of a lot easier to get away with not playing well with someone who can finish.
Not seen this game so can't comment on how we are setup but if it's as bad as people are saying then surely it will be noticed by Robins and the rest.

We are far too deep centrally , robins and his try and nick a goal on the counter bollocks hindering us like it did unnecessarily at times last season .

Let the lads play ffs

Is he watching the same game? It was obvious after the first ten times we couldn't keep the ball it didn't work. Everything we do it comes back at us for them to break.

Same as Wimbledon

Here's a question. We rip teams to shreds end of last season, and then change the system all because we lost our striker. Why not replace said striker with a like for like and keep the fucking system that rips teams to shreds
It’s frustrating as fuck

Nah it’s just it’s easy to say we’ll be shit cos most of the last 25 seasons we have been.

Abso-bloody-lutely. Either sign a replacement for McNulty who shares some of his raw attributes who you can develop as a goalscorer, or give Ponticelli a run in that role and keep the same shape.

Sounds like option no.2 is the way to go at least...offside, but promising!
