Although my concern for all these protests, pro or anti whoever, is the low numbers give off the impression of apathy, and do more harm than good.

Perhaps we all need to look at whether we sit and snipe... or do. Fortunately there's a non political, non side taking event coming up, that surely we all have to make an effort to go to, if we can?

If nothing else, to show we have fans...

It's pretty obvious Sisu are coining it in Northampton.
Huge attendances, lots of corporate advertising, sponsorship.
Lots of pies sold.
Everything is wonderful there.
Meanwhile in Coventry some pubs adjacent to the Ricoh will have suffered a downturn in trade.
But pubs elsewhere around Coventry will have enjoyed an upturn. (Or supermarket beer shelves, as seems to be the thing these days).

Surprised I missed it as I've thought this is the best solution for a while, if this is what they are prepared to do they should submit a formal offer to purchase both the Higgs and CCC stakes in ACL. Purchase those and then make a deal to clear the loan in return for a lease extension.

Ok WM. I completely disagree with that. You ask for proof etc which is fair but no one on here has access to figures and don't work for ccfc or ccc. Now I like everyone on here but I am not certain and I would bet on 1 person to not be a genuine fan but that's not really my point.

Grendel said that 30 or less people would turn up to a sisu headquarters in Coventry. Now I can't prove this but neither can he so it's hard to take a side on this debate except that more than 30 would turn up and if you don't believe that then get tim fisher and joy seppala to stand in broadgate and publish the number. It would be more than 30 I can prove because me and my family would be there and that's over 30 for a start. Easy decision.

Now I now that this is not hard proof to you but If I said I ran the London marathon is 32 minutes would you need to see proof or just think what a donkey he is off his rocker? Now this is my point.

I respect grendels opinion and if he has a season ticket that he claims then great I won't distrust him but not paying ccc tax is probably why he doesn't care about Cov taxpayers losing out like I do. I don't mind ccfc getting a good deal as long as it's fair but I do mind a hedgefund holding the club to ransom 35 miles away for their own gain against my team and arguably me as a taxpayer.

He made one comment about there could be a chance of returning on a rental agreement. But has done nothing about it since. I thought at the time it was to cover his arse in case the JR goes fully against SISU. And I still think the same.

We have already seen their attempt at purchasing the Higgs share. Even the judge pulled Deering up on it. They have wasted millions on trying to get a few millions knocked off the price. Can't see it happening any time soon.

I think too much is made of this issue. I think 98% of fans blame SISU entirely, (look how many turned up at the Council House) that's not far off unity but what difference does it make? Did they listen to 7000 marching through Coventry? This is about a bunch of bloated greedy bastards bearing grudges. Nothing we say is going to change that.

As a side note, I don't blame Sisu entirely, and I was within 25 metres of the protest yesterday but didn't take part. So you can't really use how many turned up as a barometer for thread points.

All this protest bollocks is a massive waste of time in my opinion. Whatever will be will be. The only protest that will have any effect is not going to games. And even that is negligible.

You are 100% correct there. But can't you see the cause of it?

We all want something we can join in with. But actions with an aim that is unrealistic will not get most behind it. Sniping at people that realise this don't help. It just divides us even more.

What is the use of demonstrating against the side that looks to of tried to sort this mess out? If I am going to travel over 4 hours each way for a demonstration I want to know it is worthwhile. Why should I do the dirty work for SISU when all they have done for us supporters is treat us with contempt. I am still waiting for some evidence that SISU have been treated as badly as they keep making out. Just about all the evidence points in the other direction though.

Most people in Coventry don't give a shit about CCFC. So local MP's might lose a few votes if they don't bow down to SISU. They would lose many, many more votes if they caved in. How much would it cost to give Joy what she wants? How much are the cuts to services going to be?

If Timothy, Labo or Joy ever came out with what their plans for our club.....which are realistic and show that our club has a future and where they look to be telling us the truth for once.......we could all get behind them. But what have they done so far to gain our trust? And them holding my club to ransom in Northampton until they get what they want won't get them my backing. I hate bullies. I have never let a bully get away with anything before and will not start now.

If some evidence ever comes out that shows SISU to be the innocent party I will hold my hands up and admit I am wrong. But what has ever come out of allegations they have made before?

A good example will be to look at the Man City stadium purchase, although cost etc make it a world apart, the similarities between owners of the club and a council are the same! Im guessing its under a similar umbrella to Leicester owners!

A lot of clubs deliberately confuse fans? I'm sure you're right to some degree but sisu take the biscuit. They could have put this ownership question to bed at the very start, and I don't mean from the first mumblings of stadium development or owning the ricoh freehold, I mean from day one of ownership. The fact that they haven't only lead me to one of 3 conclusions.

1) They don't have a forward thinking business plan so can't tell us.

2) Joy has a plan but TF and ML are incapable of understanding it so are unable to convey it to us fans.

3) They don't want to tell us because we won't support it as it's a hindrance to the club not a benefit meaning they will lose the last of the tiny percentage of fans they still have on board.

I find it hard to believe that scenario 3 isn't the most likely. After all if it was going to be good for the club we would all be on side and this would be a huge benefit to them in bashing ACL/CCC. Yet they remain tight lipped, why?

You are correct, as I recall Leicester went bust twice and ended up getting a great deal for very little to start them on the right route. They are the reason clubs like us get taken for so much when we get into trouble.


As for our club being ripped of by the Council, even though I do not live in Coventry I would be very pissed off if my Council had done anything differently.
