Ah ok, that makes more sense. Primark as well don't sell online so I get people going there. The one I'm waiting for is Specsavers as I'm overdue an eye test and the arm of my pair is now so wobbly I'm getting close to Jack Duckworth territory

Even at a 50% discount for NHS staff why queue to buy Lonsdale trackie bottoms and a giant mug

I can't really scoff at people wanting to go to Primark. Lots of people with kids growing at a ridiculous rate and not a lot of money haven't been able to get this kind of affordable clothing because they don't have any online offering.

Yup!

Idk, maybe they wanted to get on tv (or Insta/YT or whatever). Not a lot of the last few weeks of lockdown follows any semblance of logic!

Complete idiots. I'm as fed up of being stuck at home as anyone but you've got to be a complete moron to turn up to a rammed shopping centre and not turn straight back round and go home.

Having social media full of pictures of people completely unable to adhere to social distancing now a few clothes shops have opened who in their right mind would think opening pubs is a good idea. Certainly can't be following the science as they won't know for a couple of weeks what impact todays easing of restrictions has had.

The 3rd of July is 2 weeks Friday, even if this was scientically safe and not just a reaction to the NI Assembly making an annoucement how are bars and pubs going to get ready when they won't know what the rules are for about weeks.

Imagine camping out to get into Primark, it's not even as if there's a massive sale. It's just normal isn't it?

Even DFS think it's foolish to have a sale right now.

You can add moving to Northern Ireland as well to that as it's a NI announcement

And Drakeford said today that he hasn't spoken to Johnson for 3 weeks.
There is no cooperation or consultation going on between the devolved countries and Westminister by the sound of it.

I’d be interested to know if the guy who owns a pub on here has been sent anything. I know one guy who works for a big group and they are preparing for a July 4 opening and have rules and behaviours ready to sr f to their database

That's why I don't understand those comments from the business minister today.
As I said in an earlier post, the shop where my wife rents her chair have known for weeks they're reopening on July 4th and have been given all the protocols they need to implement.

Ireland starting to open shops today, full lockdown stop planned for August 10th, and you have to quarantine for 14 days when entering the country from anywhere. New cases below 10 per day now, deaths under 10 for the last few weeks, but you have to x14 to compare to U.K. Basically it seems monumentally crazy seeing what’s happening there, but hopefully there will be no problems.
