We should just buy the powerful torches to shine in people's mouths and kill the virus. Really bright lights. The brightest. If course you'll report that our lights are dim and that's why nobody's reading your paper.

August, and it's in Mallorca. That's not even a joke.

At present he reckons there's more chance of the stag happening than the wedding.

If the wedding gets postponed until next year he said we will have another stag next year regardless. Let's hope for both!
Worst case scenario Slovenia has just opened its borders with no quarantine for EU nationals so get yourself to Ljubljana which is high on my Europe bucket list!!

Was actually meant to go for my 40th but the flights weren't the best so we went Loch Ness instead!

I’ve been to a lot of care homes and can easily see why this occurred.

Unbelievable. Just cannot bring yourself to put even the slightest shred of blame on the government can you?

We can all see why this has occurred, the evidence is there in black and white.

Yet you say we should be ashamed of ourselves. Pathetic.

I presume they didn't think the response would be so low. She's year 6 as well.
With SATS cancelled you’d be forgiven for thinking Year 6’s and parents might not see the point in sending them back until September. I know there is the transition to think of but with secondary schools not opening it would be limited anyway. Only sad thing is about them having chance to say goodbye to primary school after 7 years.

So many dodgy car washes open, it's alright having them clean it out but when they cough or sneeze in your car and you get in what do you expect.

Surprised the police aren't shutting them down

Yeah exactly, what's the point for a couple of weeks to be off again.

Er they didn’t live there we were carers for years and this was a forced situation for one week for “respite” from a hospital - cheers for questioning my morality though about something you know nothing about - Jesus Christ

If that is the case I apologise.

But the point stands that if this is such an issue to you why as you so steadfastly behind an ethos that wants to privatise everything and make it all about profit rather than the service? This is where it leads. The way you vote has directly led to this awful situation.

It's been a long time since anyone mainstream thought the state should have control of everything but the dogma of putting free-market economics into vital services like care homes, health service, education, post, utilities, transport and infrastructure is very much alive and kicking and never leads to the benefits it's supposed to.

So how about thinking about this care home situation when putting the cross in that box next time.

The private us company that has the contract to run the nhs ppe stockpile were incompetent it appears and couldn't manage it correctly

What a surprise. But hey, private enterprise makes things more efficient and better run.....

I don’t have any experience of care homes, I’m not going to say much on that. But based on your comments, what is your opinion on the instruction to send covid positive patients into care homes?

The way I read it was there was no need for a negative test response, so basically if you don't test them they can't be refused as they've not tested positive for the disease.

If they truly wanted to protect the vulnerable then the first stipulation should be a negative test (even though this would only provide a snapshot.

I think the virus would've got in somehow anyway but the fact that it specifically said no negative test required shows that they didn't care at all about that and if you're more conspiratorial it could show an intention to let it spread to care homes.

We have been asked to prep some live lesson content for incoming Year 7. Home science experiments it is

And of course there are others who think criticising the government is unpatriotic

Labour backlash: Peston savages Keir Starmer after 'inappropriate' attack on Boris in PMQs
I think there’s a lot of Express spin on the headline. If you watch the footage I think he was basically quoting Boris as a way of asking the question. I wouldn’t say he was savage and Anneliese Dodds reply was very well structured and shot it down. Just the Express desperately trying to whip up cynical hysteria because their boy had his pants pulled down.

It's the Express, the story and video card very different.

So. After Boris’ big Sunday address and all the noise he made about the “R” number, now it’s already going up in today’s briefing It’s been stated that apparently the “R” number is not the focus. It’s the comparison charts all over again.
