Yeah wouldn’t be surprised.

It’s been roughly 30% a day (though dropping which is good) taking the last full day and extrapolating forwards: 87+30%= 113 yesterday + 30% = 147 today. But I don’t expect it to be that high. I’m hoping 87 was a spike mind.

Also for those that get excited/depressed about single numbers, that’ll likely mean a big spike today as it will cover 29.5 hours instead of 24.

Trump is saying that the USA have tested more in 8 days than South Korea tested in 8 weeks, and that they have tested more than any other nation in the world. I can't even be arsed to see if thats true.

back to football - all leagues below National league north and south have been declared void
Hope this is not setting a precedent

They’re all semi pro though and have full time jobs. It’s not comparable to the professional game

You've got to imagine that the financial implications are nowhere near the level they are in the leagues, so its an easier decision to make and to accept

Great that we’re up there with transparent liberal democracies like China and Iran.

I honestly have trouble believing this. Really hoping it’s confusion about the cutoff change and we’ll get proper numbers today.

Me too- it can't be that bad, surely. I guess more info will emerge as we go on.

And non league clubs only have a few contracted players. I have doubts whether that level of football would have finished anyway

We were talking about this in the other thread yesterday, the article there said they’re still looking at promoting teams to the EFL though? Have you got a link or anything?

Them leagues are still continuing I think at the moment. It’s anything below the Conference

This is a great way of showing the benefit of social distancing.

My only criticism is that the current thinking is that each person will pass it on to 4-6 others. If normal behaviour means that 5 people are infected then after 30 days the figure is 19,531.

When people talk about pictures on Facebook or YouTube videos going viral I'm sure they don't really know what that means or where it came from. From 1 to nearly 20,000 in 30 days - that's where it comes from.

There’s a club called Jersey Bulls who have won 27 out of 27 games this season but will still be in the same league next season

I’d imagine the EFL will be keen to get back to 92 clubs. So I’m holding hope that the National League aligns with them to make sure promotion happens. They’ve been talking about a complicated Points per game formula

USA will become the main area very very quickly at this rate. Spain overtaking Italy. I have more pride in transparency of these two countries than I have in my own government. I can’t stand bullshit

I don’t think it’s bullshit mate. I think it’s a genuine change in timings that’s been spun a bit and not helped by the awful BBC “data protection” article. Case numbers will always be subject to testing arrangements but critical and death counts should be solid.

We've been told here in Hungary today that the peak will be June/July. So could literally be looking at 12 week plus lockdown.
Everyone behaving atm but that long a period is going to test some's resolve.
Agriculture going to be hard hit as we import a lot of the inputs and we're a big growing country.
We've got to put teams out drilling maize and sunflowers now (Govt told us to) then got figure how we're going to harvest wheat, barley and rapeseed during the peak time. Normally have contractors that move through Germany/Austria/Hungary & Ukraine.
Another little bonus Ukrainian partner been on today and said we've had about 200k worth of seed & fertlizer nicked. Going to struggle to replace that this late on.
