Hopefully theres some way that all the countries that have been affected by this can sue the arse off China. People losing their lives, jobs, homes through no fault of there own etc is disgraceful. China need to pay for what they unleashed on the world. 'Contagious illness spreads' is not a lawsuit.

Amsterdam is not cheap at all to be honest so that's quite impressive.

Next to my office there is a start up which does '10 minute deliveries'. They gave me some vouchers so I sometimes order booze in. It's basically supermarket prices too.

I suppose you would know all about Thailand. I wouldn't be surprised if Interpol had that and 'Grendel' alarmed as buzz words.

Ministers are 'privately worried Covid-19 is spreading through farting'

Some in government are taking it seriously - but what does the science say?
metro.co.uk

Brains of Britain.

Close the borders early to give the disease less opportunity to get in and if it does easier to track? Nah

Bring in basic restrictions of movement and shutting places to prevent the spread. Nah

Stop travellers from a country where a highly virulent variant is spreading. Nah

Big problem is these people farting.

From the BBC Website..

Most remaining coronavirus rules were relaxed in the UK exactly a week ago - but the government figures show the number of daily cases has been falling. Why is that?

We don't know for sure, but some reasons have been suggested:

  • A football-related bounce? One suggestion is that people gathering to watch football matches could have driven new cases up and, now the Euros is over, that has stopped. In Scotland, cases started falling earlier than in England and there is some evidence the drop may have been triggered by the football team's exit from the Euro 2020 tournament - although the downward trend has continued since then
  • Fewer people taking Covid tests? The stats show the number of people being tested has fallen over the past fortnight. Scientists say that could explain some of the drop in reported case numbers - but it's very unlikely to be the only factor
  • The hot temperatures? Better weather over the past fortnight across much of the country may also have helped as more socialising took place outside
But we won't know if there's been any rise in new cases linked to the reopening in England on 19 July for some days to come.

In other countries, such as the Netherlands and Spain, the reopening of nightclubs has been followed by a sharp rise in infections. Some scientists say the impact of unlocking in England is extremely hard to predict but could be offset by schools closing for the summer holidays.

He's been doing the media rounds, being as polite as possible, but basically saying his mum's a nutter.

Apparently his dad is a ild conspiracy theorist. Fuck knows what that means however, when his mum is the bar setter!

Listened to him on a Jeremy Vine’s show on R2 earlier and he spoke extremely well.

Even when Jeremy asked whether it could be a mental illness he handled it perfectly.

Shame his Mum is such a c**t.

Yeah, that's where I heard him. Think he popped up in a BBC article months ago too.

If schools and the weather are big factors it doesn’t bode well for autumn. I’m hoping the euro gatherings were responsible for a lot of infections (although I find it hard to believe indoor clubs wouldn’t be responsible for more) and that we’ve possibly hit a bit of a herd immunity threshold with a few more weeks of vaccine and a lot of younger people getting the virus recently thus gaining antibodies.

It's going to go back up at some stage. The positivity rate isn't really dropping that much.

Just need to make sure enough people are vaccinated

It does look as though they're opening up entry for those fully-vaccinated from the EU and USA.

The Euros 100% were a massive transmission driver, proven by data. In Scotland infection rate went up to 10 to 1 male to female during Euros and then they got knocked out and cases dropped

More likely to be younger, unvaccinated as well which hopefully helps with community antibodies/herd immunity

Labour are calling it reckless so you’re gonna have to hope government stands firm sick boy…not guaranteed in the ever changing covid world but fingers crossed for you. If someone is double vaccinated and as long as they’re not coming from a country where there’s a new dangerous variant I’m not sure what else we can do/what should be done

No doubt it was a factor but the effect night clubs being open will have is a complete unknown. The euros events were often outdoors, or indoors with restrictions, or at home and small scale. Seems to me clubs could be as bad or worse but we will see.
