If we took 15 20 coaches of fans who wish to stand on the hill and protest it would be noteworthy sadly 50 on a hill is going to achieve nothing IMO.

Sorry to sound doom and gloom but this would of been a good chance to really show what we are made off, sadly not enough will attend.

There WILL be a tv crew filming what is happening on the hill.
The same people will be travelling on the coach to the game with those joining the protest.

I understand your gloomy comments but that's exactly what a few people said about the march and look at those numbers, what will it all achieve probably very little but even if only 50 on the hill it shows that some people still care. We will be watched and monitored that alone shows we still have an importance.

The idea is that the protest is against our whole plight not just our owners, its against ACL, FL and CCC. We are trying to also involve those supporters who go into Sixfields to join in with our statement. I stress this is not against any one group, we are trying to keep our situation in the media eye, some do still care.

Got to love the Cardiff supporters, not many complaints when they were in the prem league but now relegation hits they change their tone. Sadly this wont be a high profile game like Arsenal which had a decent impact but that really shouldnt matter, its about momentum and keeping the message out there.

Just reading the statements put out today.

I go on Holiday tonight but wish I could change it as wanted to be on the Hill, I think this protest on Wednesday is even more important than first suggested.

Just one last massive push to show all the groups we are still here, we are waiting, we have been let down so get your fucking acts together.

Just hope those who go inside Sixfields start getting behind this campaign and do something rather than just the normal " we just want to support the lads" . Grow some balls!!!!

We should encourage anyone who goes inside. Sixfields to join in with this protest as its a great opportunity to show unity and make a statement.
The Cardiff fans are behind the idea, will be a few on the hill and the Coventry fans inside should stand up and be involved, our club is on the brink, let's force the right decisions to be made.

Your tone doesn't exude confidence that a deal is being done behind closed doors like many are hoping. Same goes for your post on the Cardiff game thread.

Should we be extremely worried that we're facing another season at suxfields?

A good showing of support from the fans in sixfields ,by joining in on the protest would go an aweful long way to heal the wounds that have occurred since the advent of SISU . Rightly or wrongly you have continued your following in Northampton . THIS ,is our Waterloo!! (Dries tears)
Joking apart ,we're all city fans , now would be a good time for us to stand together .

Well we can only really do what we can do as individuals and if that becomes a successful and consciousness raising collective demonstration then that might just mean a difference might be made and we influence a return to the Ricoh. I for one will be supporting "Fix Football" and "Let Down" demos - I have saved my placard from Bradford and will be holding it up at 35 minutes. If enough of us do perhaps this time it'll make a difference.

Fair play to you. We will have some new leaflets to hold up on Wednesday.
We are also hope that we vacant get those going inside to join in at 35 minutes and got someone distributing the place card messages at the entrances.
Cardiff have agreed to give them out on the coaches.

Yeah we knew.

How can you know, I only made the decision about 30 seconds before I posted it?

The reason being is I am sick of every game I attend having to be a protest, I can't go and watch the Football anymore without being shoved a blue leaflet in my face and being told what to do with it, don't get me wrong I want the Club back in Coventry as much as anyone else, but I am sick of every game being a protest opportunity.

Not that I can remember, nothing of any substance anyhow.

It's not the matter of it being Sixfields though for me it's it being everywhere, I appreciate what people are trying to do, but as for the reasons I stated above I won't be doing it at the Cardiff game.

I do agree with you on one thing you have the right as much as anyone to go to a game without hassle of being judged,, but ignore them as much as you ignore the problem the club will see you in NTFC for a very long time....

I had a phone call from Psychic Sally, followed by the Samaritans to confirm it. Why not stage a protest about protests?

My own belief is if you want Coventry back in Coventry, why wouldn't you not protest at every game?

Your choice obviously, and someone who protests or doesn't protest is no worse a fan than another.

However for me it has reached the stage that the actual football is of little significance in the grand scheme of things, and that protesting is all that we have left to do.

Because I go to a Football match surprisingly to watch the Football if I wanted to voice my opinion I would do so and have done previously.

.

And there you have it. An insubstantial comment adding to the lack of substance of any protest.

Laughable.

It is odd how the few hundred who disapprove about going but leave to others the expression of that iniquity.

Not until we stand together on this will matters change.

You're absolutely right.
Some things are more important but then some want life on a plate and think that's how its dished out.

More laughter

Bradford on Saturday for a start..

I am stood watching the Football, looking forward to being able to watch the lads and see my friends, I travel all those miles to then get told "You have to hold this up on my 35 minutes"! Hang on a sodding minute, I travel all that way, take the time out my weekend to do so and pay all that money and get told what to do with a sodding blue leaflet, is it ****

And it's this sort of moronic comment which sets the fans apart, well done mate Take a bow.,

Where did I say that the reasoning behind it had gone? Nowhere. What I said was I am sick of attending a Football Match in which I work hard to do, at which point I am shoved a leaflet in my face on pretty much most occasions and then being frowned upon if I don't take part.

Oh because it's one minute out of ninety it must make it okay then, well if I had thought of it like that!
