I think you will be surprised when your sat on your own with away fans singing at you, what planet are you on???
If we won the first 6 games then how many do you think would go? If we are in the top 3 by Xmas how many do you think will go? MR has got something going at the club and its a bloody shame all of this crap he will have to deal with!

Interesting the Trust are saying "respect each others decisions" after Moz went on about boycotting and their Twitter is jut RT'ing people saying how they won't go.

I’m getting more and more dismayed with them by the day.

I really do not understand why fans would boycott St Andrews due to a principle or anti SISU stance. All they are achieving is missing out on supporting their football team on a Saturday afternoon. Sixfields was a different circumstance both in the politics and extra time to attend the match
It's only an extra 20 to 30 minutes for the vast majority of fans and some will, no doubt, be nearer.

I am not at all sure on the only 20-30 mins extra for the vast majority.

It would interesting to know how much difference this makes to people's journeys and their day.

The time will not make any difference on weekend games - why would it? Driving and parking at the Ricoh was always s nightmare - I had to leave well before two anyway just to get a parking space. Unless you live near the ground it’s an awful ground for access

In fact it’s only our total lack of success and reduced crowds that have negated the issue. If we were getting 20,000 plus gates it would be a disaster

He didn't say 'driving' though.

Probably right on driving to the game for many.

Most people drive to games or passenger someone driving

I’m going to go to St Andrews (will miss the start of the season as usual because I’ll be at Edinburgh fringe for the whole of August).

It’s probably already been discussed but is it walkable from a train station?

Looks it. About 30 minutes maybe? 10 quid in a taxi (ish)

Seems like the bus takes you a lot closer. I am now looking at that as the option possibly.

Buses from the city centre:

X1

12:38 - arrives 13:36

12:58 - arrives 13:56

13:18 - arrives 14:16

I believe it is only 5 mins walk from there.

Back:

17:00 - arrives 17:56

17:20 - arrives 18:16

17:40 - arrives 18:36

I live closer to Holyhead Road, so would probably catch it up there.

Hopefully other City fans will catch it with me, which then in turn will enable me to try and sell my train tickets.

Boddy seems to be more on the case than those who were at the club when we moved to Sixfields. You'd imagine he's working on running coaches directly to the ground. They will be aware of the parking situation and the long walk from New Street so will surely look to make it as easy as possible.

You can get the train to Adderley Park direct from Cov for £5.40 return and that's only a few minutes walk away.

For those driving street parking is free around St Andrew's as the residents rejected a parking permit scheme.

Is it me or is there too many people who need to have a serious word with themselves....
People need to man up and stop crying about what’s happened or why they can’t possibly go and dig out dust down and put on their big boy pants.

I can't find direct trains from Coventry or Tile Hill to Adderley Park without changing at Birmingham International (only done a quick check admittedly). Train connections seem well synchronised though. Adderley Park is just under a mile walk from St Andrews (very slightly longer than Pool Meadow to Highfield Road)
New Street station to St Andrews is approx 1.4 miles walk.
Nearest rail station to St Andrew's is Bordesley Park about 800m walk - but looks like you need to change trains at New Street. (Actually you can only get trains to Bordesley from Birmingham Moor Street so a bit fiddly)

I'm gunna say 5 thousand maximum now.
Judging by the negativity on all the social media platforms about playing at St Andrews I can see the crowds being around the 3K mark. I doubt we’ll sell over 2K ST’s. 350ish sold so far with probably a few spikes in sales when the fixtures are released and then on pay day. Shame and sad.

Cov fans love a bandwagon, and if some momentum could be built up like with the MK Dons away game in our Northampton season, maybe we could get a decent crowd, for our first home game at least. It needs to be built up to feel like an event like the Gillingham game when we first returned to the Ricoh, that even our fairweather fans won't want to miss out on, so would need pushing in the media outlets, and by all of us in the pubs and our workplaces.

Well said. I've been doing a 70 mile round trip for the last 35 years to support the club and I'm sure there are people who travel further than that. Hopefully, it's one year so let's come together support the team

But normally the optimist
Last season we chipped in and had a box
I had the email from commercial with prices of corporate, boxes etc passed it on to the group ,surprised at the response but respect my mates decisions out of 12
2 of us definite yes
5 of us definitely not
5 undecided
Not looking good but there is a lot of time for fans to change their minds
PUSB did not go to shitfields
