We need SISU out but somebody to come in and run it like SISU do ?I actually think, after a decade of cock ups, Fisher has worked out how to run the finances of a lower league team, what the numbers are, what you need to spend, and how. However it does depend on having a good manager and thus far Robins is the only good one he has ever found out of 9 appointments. If I were him I would see promotion as a double edged sword as the numbers, and thus the business risk are so much greater. The problem with Hoffman is that, while financially being little different from SISU in terms of the crucial relationship with Wasps, he will be starting from scratch with regards the day to day business knowledge of a third tier football team. We don't just want SISU out, that is only half the equation, we need it replaced by a financial set up that can fund prosperity in the Championship (forget the Prem - waste of time and money).

Cannot wait for the hostile and distracting atmosphere on Saturday, when the focus should be on another massive game for us. The ''paltry' offer is an opening bid, is it not? As others have said, you cannot buy something that isn't necessarily for sale. Imagine if they'd offered 15m and it had been accepted, but then we had no money for players, had to sell everybody and got relegated. People would then have criticised them for bidding too high. It's just an attempt to get them to engage (whether futile or not). The die has been cast, let's see how it plays out, and let's hope we are all able to enjoy our club next season.

Comparing the bid to the Portsmouth sale is absolute nonsense and just undermines any point they are trying to raise. Yes Portsmouth have a ground however the ground is land locked and there is a restriction meaning the land can only be used for football, making it worthless to developers. They also don't have a training ground, they were training in the local park but since the 'fans' takeover they moved to the local Roko. CCFC meanwhile have a training ground valued at £6-8m.
And of course the biggest difference is Portsmouth and owners who wanted and needed to sell, we don't.
Could have changed, been 3 years since I moved out of the city but still the same point applies.To be fair, Pompey train at a uni facility on the outskirts of Southampton. Or at least they did relatively recently.
