I've not bothered with the second series of TLOU. I loved the ending of the first game so was happy to leave the TV show at the same point. (Second game is fantastic but also incredibly bleak and miserable and I've not got the appetite for that in my choice of TV at the moment)
Well, I didn't see that coming! As someone who has been watching since 1980 I think this must be the best series there's been. Not a single duff episode and several that will go on to be all time classics. Off to the cinema for the finale next week.
I know some people hate it but I love the fact they drop them at 8am on Saturday morning. Works perfectly for me.
the cinema went nuts, very fun night outWell, I didn't see that coming!
Don't forget Vikings: ValhallaVery late to the party with this, but finally got round to watching all six series and 89 episodes of Vikings !
It`s a whisker behind Game of Thrones ( imo )
Not as complicated, which made it easier to follow, but lacked the vasts amounts of money spent on the likes of special effects of GOT, which doesn`t particularly detract from it.
Some truly epic characters - Ragnar, Lagertha, Bjorn, Loki, Ivar etc.
It`s not often I don`t want something to end, but this was one of them.
Yeah and after that, the Minnesota Vikings.Don't forget Vikings: Valhalla
Vikings vahalla any good ? As good as Ragnar
Watched it this evening.Went to watch the new Tim Key film tonight, The Ballad of Wallis Island. Worth a watch I’d say. Genteel/melancholic/heart warming in equal measure. You’ll likely see some of the jokes coming but that doesn’t matter.
Never really heard of Tom Basden before but watching the final credits (which you must) he seems to be a bit of a polymath…which is of course always slightly annoying.
Is vikings on Netflix? May start it
I shall watch it then for sure! Just watching the survivors at the momentIt is, all 89 episodes !
I'm halfway through and enjoying it a lot, feels a bit like Luther meets Shetland. Helped by at least half the cast also having been in Shetland of courseNot often you get to say this, but the latest police drama that`s just dropped on Netflix that`s just dropped - Department Q is fantastic.
It`s an adaptation of the first in a series of books of the same name, by a Danish author. Jussi Adler Olson.
I`ve read the first book in the series and this drama is a pretty faithful adaptation, that they`ve moved from Denmark to Edinburgh.
A DCI that every one hates, is given his own dept investigating cold cases, just to get rid of him.
Very well written and acted, dark as anything and a must if you like Skandi Noir.
Yeah, watching this too. Really liking it and it contains a lot of humour as well. Not often you get to say this, but the latest police drama that`s just dropped on Netflix that`s just dropped - Department Q is fantastic.

A couple of other pretty long series which I found really good.It is, all 89 episodes !

Great cast, excellent dialogue and an intriguing case to be solved.
I can see this one running and running.
Yep. That was really good. Like Point Break…if Point Break went on some sort existential journey…its Point Break meets Apocalypse Now!Give The Surfer a go.
It's not the film you'll think it will be.

Oddly, Owen Wilson is an actor I have never warmed to. He nearly always appears smug in everything he does, to my mind.Stick on Apple TV is an easy watch. Only 3 episodes in but liking it. Think it’s one of those shows that could do badly wrong with a different cast but there’s some top names in this.
Particularly enjoying the Owen Wilson & Marc Merron double act.
Great recommendation, would have skipped this as police dramas aren’t really my thing bit halfway through this and it’s great. Not often you get to say this, but the latest police drama that`s just dropped on Netflix that`s just dropped - Department Q is fantastic.

Making being off work sick slightly more bearable!
Does seem a very 9pm BBC1 show rather than Netflix though
Just finished it. Loved it and can't wait for the next installment, but the one thing I would say is that three of us sat down and watched it together and we all worked it all out in episode 8.Great recommendation, would have skipped this as police dramas aren’t really my thing bit halfway through this and it’s great.

Yes been looking forward to this as i have read all the books - sadly the wife could'nt handle it as that first episode was setting the scene and having read the book i was able to explain what was going on - but no so i have to find the time watch it when she's in the other room too near the wine - Assad is a great characterNot often you get to say this, but the latest police drama that`s just dropped on Netflix that`s just dropped - Department Q is fantastic.
