I've not bothered with the second series of TLOU. I loved the ending of the first game so was happy to leave the TV show at the same point. (Second game is fantastic but also incredibly bleak and miserable and I've not got the appetite for that in my choice of TV at the moment)

I'm kinda in the same boat. Will get round to it but in no burning desire to watch it now.

I did quite like the Snowpiecer series (film not so much). S4 has now been finally released and is on ITVx.

Been enjoying The Studio on Apple TV+. Movie industry satire with Seth Rogen, a lot of Hollywood inside jokes and big name cameos, but it's just good old fashioned workplace comedy at its core.

As someone who has been watching since 1980 I think this must be the best series there's been. Not a single duff episode and several that will go on to be all time classics. Off to the cinema for the finale next week.

I know some people hate it but I love the fact they drop them at 8am on Saturday morning. Works perfectly for me.
Well, I didn't see that coming!

Went to watch the new Tim Key film tonight, The Ballad of Wallis Island. Worth a watch I’d say. Genteel/melancholic/heart warming in equal measure. You’ll likely see some of the jokes coming but that doesn’t matter.
Never really heard of Tom Basden before but watching the final credits (which you must) he seems to be a bit of a polymath…which is of course always slightly annoying.

Very late to the party with this, but finally got round to watching all six series and 89 episodes of Vikings !

It`s a whisker behind Game of Thrones ( imo )

Not as complicated, which made it easier to follow, but lacked the vasts amounts of money spent on the likes of special effects of GOT, which doesn`t particularly detract from it.

Some truly epic characters - Ragnar, Lagertha, Bjorn, Loki, Ivar etc.

It`s not often I don`t want something to end, but this was one of them.

Not often you get to say this, but the latest police drama that`s just dropped on Netflix that`s just dropped - Department Q is fantastic.

It`s an adaptation of the first in a series of books of the same name, by a Danish author. Jussi Adler Olson.

I`ve read the first book in the series and this drama is a pretty faithful adaptation, that they`ve moved from Denmark to Edinburgh.

A DCI that every one hates, is given his own dept investigating cold cases, just to get rid of him.

Very well written and acted, dark as anything and a must if you like Skandi Noir.

I'm halfway through and enjoying it a lot, feels a bit like Luther meets Shetland. Helped by at least half the cast also having been in Shetland of course

Yeah, watching this too. Really liking it and it contains a lot of humour as well.

Great cast, excellent dialogue and an intriguing case to be solved.

I can see this one running and running.

Think there`s at least ten books, so there`s a lot of material for them to do more.

Best British crime drama that`s been done for quite a while and they`ve really done the excellent book it`s come from proper justice.

Every once in while Netflix pull a rabbit out of their generic pile a nothingness and this is 100% of them.

Read someone describing it as a cross between Rebus and Slow Horses, which is pretty spot on.

Stick on Apple TV is an easy watch. Only 3 episodes in but liking it. Think it’s one of those shows that could do badly wrong with a different cast but there’s some top names in this.

Particularly enjoying the Owen Wilson & Marc Merron double act.

Oddly, Owen Wilson is an actor I have never warmed to. He nearly always appears smug in everything he does, to my mind. 😂

Funnily enough, my missus says the exact same thing.

There must be movies where he's not, but I guess. I just haven't seen them yet. 😂

Great recommendation, would have skipped this as police dramas aren’t really my thing bit halfway through this and it’s great.

Making being off work sick slightly more bearable!

Does seem a very 9pm BBC1 show rather than Netflix though

Spot on there with the BBC reference, maybe this is why it’s so much better than the usual plop that Netflix serves up.

Just finished it. Loved it and can't wait for the next installment, but the one thing I would say is that three of us sat down and watched it together and we all worked it all out in episode 8.

It didn't spoil it too much though.

Yes been looking forward to this as i have read all the books - sadly the wife could'nt handle it as that first episode was setting the scene and having read the book i was able to explain what was going on - but no so i have to find the time watch it when she's in the other room too near the wine - Assad is a great character
