I couldn’t think of anything I wanted to watch last night so have been advised by this thread…

I thought Warfare was very good and very loud. I’m starting to like that Will Poulter, having previously, and irrationally, been irritated by him.
Amongst other things (obviously) He’s also in a film called Wild Bill which I thought was really good.

Give The Surfer a go.

It's not the film you'll think it will be.

Currently watching Rome which was on BBC/HBO in the mid 2000s. Stacked full of classically trained actors and high production values, great series.

It's really good, feels very early Game of Thrones. Augustus in the second series is such a great character.
Wish it went on for another series or two but I think it was just costing HBO too much money.

Awww yeah. Really and truly…good film though! Better than Alive.

I haven`t read the book that The Society of the Snow came from, but I`ve read the book - Alive.

Sadly the film doesn`t do it justice, as the book goes into much more detail about how they arrived at and subsequent eating of the dead.

With them all being devout Catholics, they faced not only the moral dilemma of eating human flesh, but also the spiritual dilemma too.

The book really explores the anguish and inner turmoil of all involved and how some of them decided to allow themselves to die, rather than betray their faith and as such provide food for the others.

It really is a book you can only read once.

Still on the first series, Mark Anthony is brilliantly played.

Just come out of Final Destination. Ludicrous nonsense. Loved it.

Nonnas on Netflix was a good watch, based on a real New York restaurant that hires real life ‘Nonnas’ as chefs. It was a movie I expected to have in the background but it was engaging!

Back in November I was in NYC and wish I’d heard of Enoteca Maria - I’d have booked ahead!

Just got into Andor because of all the online hype. Just finished S1 and enjoying it. Doesn’t really feel like Star Wars at all tbh.
