Not sure if true but a fairly reliable source closeish to club, said Bassette and Binks had a bust up on training ground.
Ding, ding, your ITK points are stacking up nicely. 😁

Yes, option to buy is the key. Means we are happy for him to go. He had something about him. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he did well in time. But I don’t think it will be with us.

No I'll never be an ITK. Just a fella who got chatting on train from London Bridge to Milwall recently. Think he was an accountant on board in past, who tried to buy club and sure plenty on here know of him. Mr Byng was his name I believe.
A QS from the rail industry, knows lots about Chinese companies involved in engineering /construction.

Move on from Bassette ffs - he scores in an U-21 game & people think he's gonna be the next Gyokeres - he just looked as raw as fuck for us everytime he played
I couldn't give a shit if he goes

Unfortunately the fact they have a buy option means his future is done here. No doubt he has potential but something has happened and Frank wants him out of the club.

It's an option not an obligation. The option price will probably be set now. If they don't meet that, he'll be back with us surely.

I think that's the problem, people want him to be the next Gyokeres, he's not that player, he's more of a Jamie Vardy.

And he was going to be raw, he joined us aged 19, Gyokeres was 23 when he joined us with.

Why should people move on, he's technically still our player, and therefore we have an interest in how he does in his loan spell, either for making his move permanently or that he ends up coming back. I'd get it if it was a permanent transfer, but it's a loan, albeit one with potential to become permanent.

We won’t have much use for any player that Reims would pass up the chance to sign.

Yep then probably back out on loan again if a fee can't be agreed elsewhere.

The singularly most important aspect of our recent rise through the divisions has been our team spirit. Without that, a collection of way better players can fail (see Watford in earlier seasons).
I suspect Bassette has a rather high opinion of his own ability that unfortunately has not translated to performances on the pitch. He is young but has not shown the progress you would expect for the time he has been here.
Lampard says he was not in the squad because of performances in training and his showing in pre-season was awful. Our young development players were better.
I think that is the reason why we have tried to move him on. There is no option to buy for all our other young players out on loan.
Switching subjects, I think Raphael needed to toughen up and play those gritty League 1 games to see how he develops. Think that is way better for his development than sitting on the bench or not in the squad for most of the season.
