Just read he was born in Sutton Coldfield and started senior playing career at Leamington so he's a local lad. Only issue he's 31

Figurative senses of the verb, deriving from the type of torture in which someone is stretched on a rack, can, however , be spelled either rack or wrack:

I'm afraid shrews are suffering from overarching last season but not going up. It's understandable the vultures swoop in for star players from a team who has overachieved. They didn't go up so lost their manager and several of their best players. If we hadn't gone up we'd have lost mcnulty, bayliss, Willis and possibly Jones. I'm afraid that's modern day football, the fans have been punished for an excellent season but failing to go up

Yes a few (understandably) bitter comments on that forum towards Cov.

Some seem to think we should pay off our creditors before take on new players and that Cov is no step up from Shrewsbury.

Most posters decent enough though.

Someone should tell them that the debt isn’t real debt. Tim Fisher said so see if they believe it anymore than us.

Fact is that their average attendance last season was just over 6200 ours was just over 9200, plus the playoffs, plus a good cup run plus Maddison windfall. Assuming that both clubs are run on break even it’s not surprising that they can’t compete with us.

A few of us posted in the recent thread "Summer Recruitment" how we thought the playoff games, and how we won them would have an impact on prospective signings, and their decision whether or not to join us. Seems a good call now, because we seem to be attracting players who are wanted by multiple other clubs.

Robins said before the final players were lined up depending on what div us and their clubs were in, guess he’d have meant Brown and possibly Ogogo but he was always going to leave by sounds of.

Yes, agree, but didn't Mowbray say we had a number of championship level players lined up at the beginning of the season we were relegated? except none of them came

Silly Shrews. We don’t have any creditors that aren’t our owners.

Shrewsbury boss saying they are immediately looking for a replacement. Can't we persuade them that Vincenti can play in that position?
