I was. Played with an orange football if my memory serves me right, cold snowy day at the start of December.

Jeez was that really 16 years ago.

I was there too. As I remember it, Blackburn wanted the match called off, but the referee was having none of it. The first goal knocked the stuffing out of a clearly unmotivated Blackburn side - they then proceeded to throw in the towel. In the end 5-0 flattered the visitors who could and should have conceded more.

I was there - and yes it was an orange ball - snow on the pitch and a Blakcburn team who didn't want to play - they wanted the game called off and the ref said no.
