I for one think it's a great draw, will be a good atmosphere and a 50/50 chance to progress to the 5th round.
PS. We have to beat Bristol Rovers first.

I don't get it to be honest. Was in the car on the way to 5 a side last night when the draw was made. Got back home later and checked my phone, our WhatsApp group was a hive of activity yet up until now no one has posted anything about MK Dons or Doncaster away which I think are far bigger, more important games.
I don't see the attraction of it. Each to their own though.

I listened back on cwr: Eakin was actually passing on what a supporter had said, whilst cautioning that this hadn't been confirmed.

I suspect that the police might do a Wembley style split of the pubs in the area rather than leaving it up to the landlords of each pub. They probably wouldnt want us in one pub in Digbeth and blues two doors down.

I’m pretty convinced we’ll just ask to reverse the fixture. The crowd will be bigger for blues v Coventry than vice versus.

The FA will agree vecuase their cut will be bigger.

besides - this is all moot... we have to beat Bristol first

Not sure you can just change the draw to your liking. I don’t think if we drew Man U at home we could ask them to swap it to Old Trafford

It used to happen all the time if a smaller club drew a bigger club. They would change the ground to the bigger clubs so more people could attend, the smaller club got a bigger pay day etc.

I’m sure this has happened in the past where non league clubs have asked permission to play at a bigger ground in their area but I can’t remember an actual reverse fixture ...though I may be wrong.
Anyway we’re better off giving them half the ground but keeping it a home tie. Why make it comfortable for them by giving them the home dressing room etc

It’s happened at St. Andrews. Stevenage in the FA Cup in late 90s

Well I'll say good morning!

My boy and I were pissing ourselves at the draw. Fingers crossed we beat Brizzle.

What's the story with the EFL charge? Is it not keeping to your business plan I guess put forward for them to remove a tranfer embargo?

I think If found guilty it will be another points deduction and maybe more than the 9 for the last breach

Morning. Despite all the too cool for school kids on here I think it’s a great draw. Both sets of fans seem to get on and it’s a nice novelty. Will be interesting to see how our style of play stacks up against you.

Of course this is CCFC so we will probably lose our replay.

It’s gone down well over here. Has sparked a lot of interest. Think it’s a bit of history in the making. Probably the first time any team has played an away cup tie at their own ground.

Yes, Good morning.
I have to say whilst the big topic of debate centres around allocation of the ground, for me it would be ensuring we get the bulk of refereeing decisions - right or wrong.
After all, we are the 'home' team.
* IF we win the replay.

CJ already said on Twitter doubts many Blues fans will show up. Neil has already said St Andrews is a dump

Correct but whoever was drawn at home was still the home team. So when Stevenage moved their 'home' game to St Andrews it was them that had the home facilities, even down to it being the Stevenage PA announcer.

Is that his reason for not attending then? And there was me thinking he was easily bought with the sniff of free wasps tickets.

Was mentioned on CWR this morning that CCFC and Blues will meet in the next couple of days to make the necessary arrangements. I am sure that will involve West Mids Police too. Just hope we beat Brizzle first.

Anyway we should have the home stands full or not we are the home team.
If we get promoted and stay at Brum do we give them the advantage of 2 home games or do we play one of them as the home team.
Wimbledon got far less then Palace when they played there but I dont remember them reversing the fixtures to allow for a bigger crowd.

This has the potential to be a unique (in a positive way) atmosphere. I’ve enjoyed the atmosphere at St Andrews, it’s nowhere near as negative as the Ricoh. Probably because the fans who attend want to get behind the team, regardless of politics. Therefore I think the atmosphere between the two would be light hearted.

My concern is the day trippers who can’t handle their beer and are staunchly anti-SISU without really knowing why. And/or have the whole ‘we’re Coventry, we’ll do what we want’ attitude.

The whole moral stance on not going really does make zero sense to me.

I'd quite like being the away team in your home ground, give you a chance to check out the away facilities.

Yes I will be going I think. I didn’t answer it because it didn’t have any relevance at all as I didn’t offer my opinion nor change it after an hour.

So what happened in the one hour last night which changed your opinion from I will attend if it’s an away game to I won’t be attending the replay which would be an away game?
