No none of that.

We’ve just got some superb players and our ground which is absolutely superb

but have we done enough and have we got stronger?
defensively yes....

Woolfenden is an upgrade on Binks, and KKH is the depth behind MVE. Goalkeeper is a lot to be desired, but rather than my continuous doubting of him i've got to believe there's a decent goalkeeper in there.

We've sold Sheaf - be honest, does he get in over Grimes? No he doesn't - could we do with a stronger back up? yes. But I doubt he's going to be happy sitting on the bench

We're very much in the conversation for the top 6

But realistically only 2 or 3 signings away from being in the conversation for top 2

Which is the frustrating thing! We're not asking for a complete overhaul. Just, more than a new CH

Same as most teams in the Championship!
I think our squad size is 23 right now - I don't anticipate we'll end the day like that, but that would make it the 2nd smallest squad in the division.

So we undoubtedly have a very small squad now. I'm not a bedwetter, but given we normally pick up a handful of crucial injuries every season, this means we'll be at a significant disadvantage over basically every team we're competing with.

Are we though? In terms of the top 2 - the likelyhood is Ipswich, Southampton and Leicester will be there. we'd need more than 2/3 to be consistently above them

We've got Leicester coming up - that will be our first major test.

you said you'd drop MVE you fucking clown
Once Woolfenden is announced it’s one of the best windows we’ve had. Retaining every player that we would be weakened by losing. Wright, Saka, Rudoni and MVE.

2 promoted sides apart it's not like many others are spending loads. Most of those doing business are using funds from sales. Championship transfer spending has generally been slow since COVID.

the maximum squad size is 25 though so at most we could get 2 more over 21s in

Not sure what's so funny @Grendel , Eccles is miles ahead of Allen.

What’s funny is the obsession with Allen and Bidwell that you have.

Allen is a fringe midfield player who will play when needed - which will be occasionally - and is a better option if needed than a novice like Andrews.

The same applies tonight your other mate “Jakey Wakey”

If they are prepared to accept these roles and not move - and they’d both get a move - what’s the incentive to ship them out?

They haven't been phased out. They're literally part of the first team still and have got minutes / will get minutes this season due to our shit depth.

I just feel weve absolutely stood still

KKH has looked pants
Brau cant get in ahead of Dasilva
Rushworth has Collinsitis
And we've sold our captain with no replacement

Unless the bricks at the CBS can play CM, we're in the shit come December when the injuries and fatigue kick in
Fuck me this is genuinely tragic. Stop fucking crying.

KKH has played less than 3 competitive games in total for us and looked good in the friendlies.

Brau cant get in because Da Silva has had a renaissance and is playing the best football he’s played for us. This is not a bad thing

To honestly compare Rushworth after 3 competitive games to Collins is the wettest thing ive seen from you in a long time. And thats saying something

You can only have 25 in your squad unless they are under 21 years of age. If they are loans they count as part of the 25 even if they are under 21 years of age.

One thing I’m surprised we haven’t done is made more intentional deals- in the mould of Torp, who looks to be really kicking on now.

Brau is the only one this season and all the rumours have been around domestic players.

None of those 3 from the few games I've seen look anywhere near as strong as the usual teams that drop down. Southampton probably look best atm. Leicester look bang average and will hopefully soon be docked points. Ipswich dont look great and have had a bit of luck in gaining points (dodgy 90min pen anyone?) and Blunts are a mess and looking like relegation candidates. As it stands Boro are the team most likely to be a threat for autos. More so than any of the parachute clubs. So yes, i genuinely believe were 2 or 3 quality signings away from being in that conversation

Convince me we have improved on last season then

I think a few of you need to go and remind yourself of your own comments after the Millwall game about the quality of our "Backups"
It was a real test. Our back ups v their back ups. Both teams made 8 changes on the night. We looked awful. Slow, error prone, didnt manage more than 3 or 4 passes until the subs were made!
