What’s funny is the obsession with Allen and Bidwell that you have.

There's no obsession, they are just amongst the weakest members of the squad who need upgrading.

And it's quite ironic seeing you accuse someone of an obsession given your four-year long vendetta against Biamou, or the non stop posts about Dasilva / Palmer etc. Now they were obsessions.

I also assume we thought MVE would attract interest and grabbed KkH when we could. He hasn’t and now we have a very financially expensive right side of defence with cover and free transfers on the left

seriously why hasn't Woolfenden been announced yet? Why do other clubs announce deadline signings straight away but takes us all fucking day

I know we all like a signing. But there is something to say that having continuity and a stable squad means we can be stronger than last season. There is also something to be said for the squad being coached at a high level.
Since Lampard came in we are right up there with a good squad with some very good Individual players (Wrighr, Rudoni, MVE) etc. And we have seemingly retained them all despite interest.

We have added 3, looking to atkeast be 4 signings and announced ownership of the CBS. I think there are far more reasons to be happy about our situation at the end of the window compared to the start.

Weaker in defence? We've only sold Binks and most called him shite. We've brought in KKH and Woolfenden.
No we haven't. A few supposed ITKs said its a certain signing. Until its signed and a press release has been put out, we've signed nobody. Ill believe we've signed him once the club announce it. Until then, we've sold binks with no replacement.

Could be because the club's working hard in the final few hours to get stuff done and wasting time prepping players for 'reveals' and interviews is less important

People mentioning we bought the stadium, I'm surprised they aren't counting another season sponsored by Monzo as a win in this transfer window.

The people working hard trying to sign players wont be the media team who will take pictures and make social media posts about it!
And if the media guy that does silly hand shakes with players at Ryton for YouTube shorts is the guy masterminding all the signings, then we really are fucked!

Careful with this sensible logic round here mate!!!
I’d like to add that Wright and EMC we’re missing for a good few games last year which hopefully we can steer clear of as they are game changers in this league.

I think our squad size is 23 right now - I don't anticipate we'll end the day like that, but that would make it the 2nd smallest squad in the division.

So we undoubtedly have a very small squad now. I'm not a bedwetter, but given we normally pick up a handful of crucial injuries every season, this means we'll be at a significant disadvantage over basically every team we're competing with.
Sheaf's departure leaves us with 22 senior players.

Couldn't care less about this corresponding fixtures chat until we've played 46 games. Doesn't matter who we pick up points against, just that we are picking up points. Bored of seeing the same shit repeated for the last 10 pages

This is another thing. We go on about the starting XI

Torp, EMC, Simms, Sakamoto have all missed a good chunk of games injured. I'd be amazed if they all stay injury free this year

Wolfe in and 1 more pending get up there boy

Best of luck Sheaf, fantastic servant and the perfect time to bow out. Injuries have definitely stunted his progress and I think it's fairly obvious Ben was slowly on the decline.
Hopefully he can reignite his career and stay injury free.

One of the dryest summers in history for Coventry.

The meteorologists do not need to worry, that will all change at 7pm.

It has been a pretty average window assuming only Woolf joins - but we're stronger than last year

GK: Collins -> Rushworth
RB: Lati -> KKH
CB: Binks -> Woolf
LB: Bidwell -> Brau
Convince me we have improved on last season then

See above in terms of improvement of the squad as a strength in depth,

The window isnt yet closed, you’re not itk so lets not pretend because you havent heard anything that means there’s definitely nothing going on

We retained Wright (currently 4 in 4) MVE and Rudoni

Emergence of Torp

Bought a stadium.

Even if we do “stand still”. I’d take 5th place now so dont see the problem tbh.

If we don't replace Sheaf, we have 5 senior midfielders to see us through the whole season.
That does no get you promoted.
Grimes missed as many games when his transfer to us was being sorted as he had missed in the previous 5 seasons. He played with stitches in his leg a couple of games ago and had an excellent game.

Losing Sheaf isn't as big as many are trying to make out. Grimes took his place and the two of them together didn't work. It wouldn't be a surprise if Grimes plays every league game this season.

Yes we could do with another midfielder but not just bringing someone in to make the numbers up.
