I know what you mean. But it gets harder to replace players with quality the higher up we get so naturally will feel like we miss out more.
Doesn’t help that we seem to be shopping in the same market at parachute clubs or those with ridiculously deep pockets.
Wrexham signing Broadhead for £10m may inflate a lot of players values in the eyes of their owners too.
Ive been wondering about this. Genuine wonder. What is the market at various levels? Are there enough championship quality players out there and it’s a matter of finding them or is it quite a limited pool each summer and if you don’t get one of say the top ten then you’re downgrading?
I do think teams seem to get similar targets and there’s a bit of me that wonders if clubs buying the same data product end up with similar results as well.
