Hard to judge a league 2 player as the gap between Championship and there is enormous. Not many move league 2 to Championship directly.
Don’t think it’ll help him personally that he joined a Millwall team focused on playing very direct.

Think he works best when the team are quite patient in possession.

Imagine some league one team will go for him especially any managed by Luke Williams

Why are people wobbling on Rudoni?! He's had a excellent 6months that's all. Doug's not stupid he knows the value goes through the roof if he sustains that form, either by sales value or us getting out of this league.

Nothing in the way King has run the club in the last few years suggests we cave in to low ball offers. Relax

Our problem in the play offs was our finishing.

The defence, with a new LB and a competent keeper is ok to me.

Giving away 3 cheap goals (1. Wilson should save, 2. Milan back pass, 3. Free header) was a bigger problem

Same as in games against Plymouth/Derby - cheap goals changed the perspective of the game. We looked the better team until we went behind

Look up Simms vs Riis stats this season. I have done btw...
I don’t want either but if we can’t do better than Riis then I’d be disappointed.

I am forgetting that some will be just desperate for us to sign anyone. Lampard will want better there is no doubt of that.

How much input does Lampard actually have on selecting players that HE wants!?

Don't recruitment do all the running then they put them in front of Lampard!?

I don't think Lampard is scouring the leagues for players.

You said ‘compared to our current front 2’.

My apologies, I did think you were referring to Wright who literally plays up front for us.
I would consider our front 2 the only 2 in the squad who only play up front.

If Simms and BTA both go, which although some have said isn't happening, even Saddle has now said looks possible. What level to you think we'd look at for essentially the 'second choice' striker? If you think someone better than Riis then fair play, that would be nice. Not sure I can see it though.

Like Robins, he will have the final say.

So far on here, we’ve got half of Peterborough’s bottom half League one team and Preston’s goalkeeper and striker.

I’m hoping our recruitment team cast a wider net.

As it stands we have two senior GKs and Bell currently under contract. It's very unlikely we'll look to move on both Wilson and Collins. I'd imagine the priority will be to get the latter off the wage bill which is going to be difficult for the obvious reasons.
I think we'll look to get both of them off the wage bill and bring a 'keeper to challenge for the number 1 spot once Dovin is back.

If it is only us and Norwich in for him id say so

We're a more attractive proposition than them nowadays
He is from that neck of the woods isn't he and was with them as a kid?

Whilst I don't dispute football wise there is nothing at all between going to us and Norwich these days going 'home' might tip it in their favour :/

He’s not scouring the leagues but he’ll almost certainly have an input into the types of players that the recruitment team to scour for.

Then, as you say, they will put them in front of Lampard.

Got to assume he has a pretty big say in the yes/no decision.

If they are looking for players to go straight into the squad then it will be down to him whether or not they fit with his plans.

If it’s more about developing them for the future or to sell on later, again, he will be the one deciding on whether he can get more out of them.

Not true. We’ve also got Cardiff’s striker and Liam Walsh and Carlton Morris.

Wembley again ole ole!

Something to do with the club World Cup… it’s a waste of time but I suppose it evens the playing field because there those teams participating had a ‘mini’ transfer window to register players for the tournament.

In practice, almost definitely makes no difference.

Real Madrid have just paid Liverpool £10 million for Alexander - Arnold even though his contract is up at the end of June, just so he can play in the Club World Cup, they have more money than sense.

10 million is nothing to Madrid, they spend vast amounts much on wages and transfer fees, they spent €103 million on Bellingham, the cost of having Mbappe in their squad and many others aswell

I mean truthfully I don’t really pay much notice to other leagues outside of England so didn’t know the club World Cup is worth that much.

Is Trent likely to be a difference maker for them in order to change their free transfer to a ten million pound one?
Well he is a class player so could make the difference between say quarters or winning the thing

Normally they would waited till June 30th but they want to win the tournament . At the minute they have bit of issue at right back with non specialist Vasquez or old man carajval so maybe if it was a different position they wouldn't have paid up early.

We can have one of BT and LK but not both. One of those needs a proper upgrade. Please just look at the stats. The defence cost us a lot of points and it was only because all the other teams were also inadequate that we squeezed in. 68 points was 4 light of what normally gets you 5th or 6th
Not sure I agree on the BT and LK comment. The worst of our defensive record was when Binks or Lati were playing in addition to no end of goals that should have been dealt with better by the GK (Mainly Collins).

BT and LK are a solid partnership and this is coming from someone that did not rate Kitching at all prior to him coming back in to the side.

OP is right. We need a competent striker as it’s like playing with 10 men. This was glaringly obvious for the last 10 games or so.

Our striker scores a goal every other game and we scored more than any non parachute club bar Norwich. The defence was awful. I get people like Kitching but the facts are we need better.
