Don't think Rudi would want to go to Newcastle - considering how limited his minutes would be. He'll know a full season of development under Lampard will give him a better chance of a proper Prem career

The only 3 teams who could afford him & he'd get minutes at are Palace, Leeds, and Burnley I think
West Ham

I would be very surprised if Rudoni leaves. Most of our decent players over the last few years have hung around for at least 2 seasons. It's clear that he loves working with Lampard and I think he'll persuade him to stay for one more season before cashing in. If he has a full season like the second half of this one, his value will be much higher.
I also think there is room for improvement. In the first leg against Sunderland they closed him down all the time and even with his fantastically quick feet he couldn't do much to create space. It was the first time I'd seen that done It showed how reliant we were on him but also he needs to work out how to deal with it because he is a known quantity now

Why? We scored lots of goals but conceded lots. It's pretty obvious what the problem is. Let's go more Burnley
Our problem in the play offs was our finishing.

The defence, with a new LB and a competent keeper is ok to me.

have you watched him frequently then?
Not really getting the hate for the suggestion. If you bring him in as a second choice, spending big on the first choice, which would be the way to go about it imo, its a no brainer.

This is a compilation of his goals this season, 2 months ago, so i'm guessing a couple missing. Way sharper than Simms, better movement, more desire. Simms apologists are getting boring now. I tried to take to him for the longest time but what the fuck is he offering?

We can have one of BT and LK but not both. One of those needs a proper upgrade. Please just look at the stats. The defence cost us a lot of points and it was only because all the other teams were also inadequate that we squeezed in. 68 points was 4 light of what normally gets you 5th or 6th

We'll look to improve anywhere we can and i'd genuinely be staggered if that doesn't include the centre forward position. I think we'll sign more players than many predict and we'll see a few move on too.

I do think the goals conceded was due to the disruption in defence and the keeper situation personally.

I'm interested to see how Lampard plays it, whether he thinks Bobby and Kitch are his starters again or we'll go all in on another starting quality CB. I'm not sure which way that will go personally. A better LB and competent keeper from the start will help a lot.

Im not convinced a LB will make a huge difference. It’s when we’re on the ball that we’re particularly vulnerable and the defensive unit then is Thomas Grimes and Kitching.

I would say we are most vulnerable when we are attacked down our left personally.

When you have one weak link in a defence it disrupts the whole unit.

Disagree. Dasilva was culpable for several goals last season due to a lack of pace and poor positioning.

Although he improved in the latter stages of the season we ultimately need better.

How is it terrible? He got 12 goals last year and his style of play would suit us.
You’ve just answered your own question. It’s a terrible shout because he got 12 this year, 6 the year before, 5 the year before that - partly because of an ACL and shock he hasn’t come back anywhere near the same.

Honestly, people want rid of Simms and Wright then want people like Riis. Baffles me.

12 is a good return to be honest compared to our current front 2.

When have I said I want Wright gone?

Look up Simms vs Riis stats this season. I have done btw...

And who’d you have as reserve keeper once the loan had ended and Dovin is back playing? We need to sign another one permanently, regardless.

As it stands we have two senior GKs and Bell currently under contract. It's very unlikely we'll look to move on both Wilson and Collins. I'd imagine the priority will be to get the latter off the wage bill which is going to be difficult for the obvious reasons.

Someone in League One will take him I'm sure. There's some seriously shit keepers at that level.

But yes I agree. Sell Collins, keep Wilson and sign another keeper. The only way Collins and Wilson both go is if Bell is more highly rated than we think, but I doubt he's ready yet.

Riis is being mentioned because of his height and physicality. That is a mistake we want smart forwards that have great movement.

Simms and Wright are 6ft 4 but unfortunately do not have good movement or anticipation. So although height is a talent to take into account im not buying lets go and get a big man... Id prefer a big man with intelligence that doesn't rely on being a bulldozer and forcing a possession based team to just keep smashing it in the box.

We need a younger Matty Godden

He's better than Simms at pretty much everything.
