Just not true I’m afraid

Collins

Tbf everytime we have signed a keeper people say 'look how refreshing it is, he does x,y,z' so much better and then proceeds to be slagged off relentlessly as 'shit' a couple months later.

Every keeper at this level has faults it all depends what you want from them. The reality is the best keeper we have had since relegation was Westwood.

The one that interests me the most is Callum Doyle. Even if we don’t end up with him then why hasn’t he got a club? Every other loan etc he has gone early and had pre season with them of a sort. A tad strange. I’m sure he doesn’t want to be not playing.

Agreed, although Rushworth ‘should’ be a higher level to recent keepers like Wilson, Collins etc though

Westwood was quality ! The heady days of early sisu with Dann and Fox in front of him

He's probably being monitored at Man City, they will want to see if he's improving and to see how far away from Premier league standard he is.

They are a week behind the championship in terms of being ready for kick off, so they ain't in any panic, and my guess is they won't need to make a decision on his future until they have to finalise their squad numbers and submit it to the league.

And let's be honest, they dont exactly need the money. And if he wants to drop down to the championship on a permanent move, he'll probably have to take a drop in money.

So no one at Man City is in any panic. If he moves at all in may not be till the end of the window.

well exactly . If someone offered 10m weeks ago he would have gone. They won’t and he is still at Man City. So it might get later on and man city just want him away so will either accept less or just loan again. Like you say no major odds for them.

Forgot about him. Did even play a game?

It came on against Swindon in a pre season friendly and looked miles off the pace.

I remember his announcement video that the club botched and he looked about 2 stone overweight.

Seems he was Wigan's captain at 19 so maybe we are looking at someone who can be a leader in that back line.

Could that solve the issue of conceding soft goals?

Would be an interesting addition and one we can definitely develop further.
