    Offers Made For Four Players

I like this comment “We want to sign marquee players, players who are going to stay with the club for years and help us get the job done". I like long term thinking, at the end of the day it's the best way to get long term results. Looking forward to next week now.

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

Rugby seems to be going that way and it also seems to be driven by the RFU. wasn't there some league games played America last season? Presumably that's part of the RFU's strategy to make Rugby a global sport.

Don't you get stroppy when the poll doesn't go in favour of SISU. Were you dismissing the other poll that no one understood? Probably not as the results were going the other way.

The problem here of course might be that if the third-party litigation talk is true SISU may well not be able to stop the litigation even if they wanted to. We could be on a path that SISU have no control of and this could be disastrous for the club.

I thought it was indicated during the appeal that compensation if they won (other than costs) wouldn't be that substantial?

Yeah but they only tell the truth when it suits. Wasps are the new TF ;) Point is that they have no ownership currently at the AEHC so they can't give ultimatums at this moment in time. I would have thought that obvious which is why the question was surprising in the first place.

    Falling out of love....

Not to disheartened at the moment. The political BS has become par for the course the last few years. I've got the distraction of the Isle of Man TT this week which has been awesome. European Championship starts at the weekend and being a son of two great countries (England and Northern...

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

There's elections coming up to join the board I believe as some are looking to step down but no one is coming forward to takeover. That's you and Grendull running by the sounds of it.

Can't see why not. All the litigation surrounds a time frame when"they" owned the club. That time frame doesn't change if they sell the club after the event.

Probably because Wasps have no claim over the AEHC at present as they do The Ricoh.

It would only make one of them look bad. So why hasn't the other said it.

Which idea specifically are you talking about? I have that many I can't narrow it down ;) I actually meant what alternative do the trust have other than trying to get all parties to talk? That's what needs to happen at the end of the day. Something neither side wants to do. If I was being...

There isn't is there really. As far as I can tell anyway.

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

What's to stop CCFC putting in for planning permission at the AEHC for what they proposed in the statement? I.e. move the seniors to Higgs and closing Ryton? As far as I'm aware you don't need to own the land to put an application in. If there's two separate applications in on the same piece of...

That would involve being proactive not reactive so I don't think you need to concern yourself with that prospect.

Wasps reject proposal to withdraw application

Smacks of the offer ACL made through the FL that kept being denied as being made until David Conn IIRC got the FL to confirm that it had indeed been made and then the tune changed to no direct offer has been made. What is it they say about doing the same things expecting different results?

Well they're stupid then. Litigation has stood in the way of this club making any progress on pretty much anything for the last 3+ years. It's a distraction to everyone from fans to owners to local authorities who the club need to work with. The negotiations over staying at the Ricoh are just...
