Price of Football - BBC survey

The people who complain prices are too high are often the same people who, every day mind, walk across the road from their workplace, which contains a kettle and a kitchen of sorts, to spend £2.50 on a coffee in a cardboard cup, £2 on a cake and crisps, £2 on a sausage roll or pasty. They then...

    Holding Grudges

I have always been quite indifferent to Baker... A few cameo performances, nothing more... But yesterday, in the first half, I was literally begging for the ball to go to him as he was the only player in sky blue who could control it and keep it for a few seconds. He was tidy, worked hard and...

    Robins wants midfield general

St Michael of Doyle was one of the worst footballers to play for an extended period for us. He is a symbol of our decline. A pub player, ten a penny.

    Why Boo your own players?

You can't reason with the unreasoning. Give it up Steve B50. Of course a supporter does not boo his own players unless the player has engaged in conduct which is unacceptable, such as abusing the fans. We have the, "I pay their wages so I'm entitled..." attitude... Which is always stupidity...

It will have been a great night if nobody who knows I support City takes the piss tomorrow and for several days.

Boycott food & drink at the Ricoh.

If the beer is flat and warm I may try some as I can't abide ice cold, fizzy beer ... That's lager, surely?

First thing I'd do as new manager...

First send vouchers for Specsavers to the officials who denied us 3 goals and 5 points this season so far. If we had those points, a total of 8 and on the brink of the play-off places, there'd be no crisis.

    Fightback against the boo boys

Firstly, people who boo or abuse their own players are not aiming to help the player or the team. They are like toddlers having a tantrum. They can't get their own way (which is the team to play well and win) so they throw a wobbly. No logic, no purpose, just anger and spite against guys they...

Dissertation Research - Highfield Road / The Ricoh Arena

That must have been about 1977/78? I got set upon by a big, ugly Boro fan who wanted the scarf. He punched me and my little sister in the face. When I lamped him back he kicked me in the back but ran off ... without either scarf...:pointlaugh:

    Embarrassing fans at away games

I think there is a bit of false memory syndrome going on here. I went to City away games in the 70s and 80s. I don't remember any aggro against women and children. Abuse to officials and oppo fans and players, of course. The "hard" lads were looking to fight opposing fans not turn on their own...

    Embarrassing fans at away games

Just a personal viewpoint follows. Don't want to fall out with anyone but here goes... There has always been a caveman component at football and always will be. It is far worse at away games. There is an element that wants to be boozed up, aggressive and believe they are entitled to get at...

    clingan still no club

He will get a club. Free agents will be snapped in the coming weeks. Don't understand what many City fans have against him, especially those who hate the diamond and those who didn't rate AT's man management.

Maybe from Coventry but not from Dudley where I live. Just checked, last train back leaves Euston at 5 past 9. So that's 2 season tickets that will not be going. Don't understand what all the fuss is about.. Seen City play Arsenal many times. Hope you youngsters enjoy it. PUSB
