IMO we are much better when we have a positive attacking intent. Need to go all out for win tonight. A defeat or draw is much easier to take if you know your side went for it... And a defeat so early on would be easier to get over than one later in the season.

The fact that you bracket Sammy with Freddy means that a reasoned debate is unlikely. Freddy was overweight, unfit, refused to go out on loan etc. Sammy performed underpar according to his critics. No other criticism of him like he didn't try or didn't care can be substantiated with evidence...

Low home crowds are not as shaming as high away followings in which a large, vocal minority behave like cavemen. That is far more likely to be noticed by fans of other clubs. Look at how the likes of Leeds, West Ham and Millwall are regarded.

Whoever plays in centre midfield for City will get stick from fans here. The midfield is always under intense scrutiny. The diamond formation, the personnel, lack of width ... We always blame the midfield instead of looking at the bigger picture.
