    Feelings Towards Ricoh Arena Now

I feel like a 25-27k seater stadium would suit us quite well. But, that’s only a bit bigger than HR, so ultimately, we would’ve been better off staying there. I like the RICOH, but as you say, it’s inextricably linked to our decline. For some reason I have an ilking that our wider support...

Tim said we are moving to rugby

I’m hoping this doesn’t mean we can’t stay at the RICOH. But, if we can’t stay at the RICOH, we need a Plan B and Rugby or Nuneaton would probably be the next best thing after the RICOH. If Wasps are refusing to talk, we don’t have much of a choice, and I hope Wasps do negoiate. Things could...

    Head of Recruitment Interview

Wingers and strikers too probably... in Jan a lot of people didn’t fancy Baka or Chaplin. Bright was seemingly signed to play on the wing which didn’t last very long.

    Head of Recruitment Interview

He’s an interesting player, 6”4, is quite quick and young. Potentially a diamond in the rough if he’s coached properly.

    Breaking- New Consortium Bid

I think there’s a danger in just wanting SISU out just for getting them out. Personally, I’m not sure if I trust Hoffman exactly. Seems to have been tricked by that Dale Evans character, and the consortium’s offer of the Wilson sell-on money makes me question if they actually have money behind...

Robins has to go in the summer / 02476 555 555

Agreed, and good analysis as per. In fairness to Robins, I'd rather be a team that holds onto a lead than a team that is good at coming back. Our comeback record has improved on last season, which was woeful with only 1 or 2 wins all season from a losing position. If we can improve on our...

11 wins from 19 remaining games to make playoffs

It's a cliche, but we've got to take it one game at a time because we've only got to get 2 more points (with GD) than Doncaster over the next 8 games whilst remaining ahead of Peterborough and Blackpool. They still have to play Luton and Sunderland, and a few potential banana skins in teams...

    I'll say it

You may as well have when you say things like League 2 is a 'shit league' and promotion from L2 'nothing to celebrate' then there are the comments about L1 'is a God awful league' and that 'picking players in the correct position' gets you 'halfway there in this league' is just a bit ignorant...

    I'll say it

Robins would have sanctioned the signings of Bakayoko and Hiwula and selling of JCH. Bakayoko looked like he was going to get a run in the team, but got injured for about 8 weeks. As for Hiwula has made 27 starts, 4 sub appearances, which is more than Chaplin. Until Bright (who Robins brought...

    I'll say it

We were shit to end up there... just because we were a Premiership team doesn’t give us the divine right to not be in League 1 or 2.

    I'll say it

Hiwula, Bakayoko and Bright, the two players Robins also signed? He hasn’t been ‘lucky’ because he’s bought in all the players that are doing the job for us now. It’s a testament to Robins that players like Hyam, Bakayoko and Bayliss (he’s consistently picked himself from his first start) were...

    I'll say it

Your tone is quite sneering actually. Teams of our stature have got relegated and stayed down in L2 for years, like Portsmouth, Bradford, Plymouth and Luton. Before Doncaster and then us, it was a good 5+ seasons before a team had bounced back into L1 after one season. So Robins certainly...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

We have a minority government so the Tories need to keep the bloc of Brexiteer MPs they have. Again, a soft Brexit isn’t even on the table and even if it was, I’d say I agree with the argument that it isn’t exactly what the people who voted Leave had in mind. To me, a soft Brexit is worse than...

Deferring European elections? I didn’t think you could. So a long extension would probably mean we’d hold European Elections. As a Remainer, I find that distasteful.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Honestly, I don’t really care when European Elections would be held in that scenario, 0% interest. I just fundamentally disagree with the idea of holding European Elections whilst going through the Brexit process when a referendum isn’t even on the cards. I would have thought we could find a...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

If May’s deal gets voted down a 3rd time, the indication is that we’d ask for a long term extension, between 1-2 years. We’d have to restart negotiations pretty much. A ‘soft Brexit’ could probably win a majority in Parliament but the Tories would probably implode, which makes another referendum...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Right now, if the UK asks for an extension past June/July (when the Euro elections are held) we would have to stand candidates. For me, that would be a farce and a Brexit Party would most likely win by a large margin. So, I’d hope the UK Government and EU came to an agreement where we wouldn’t...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The Government and electoral commission would sort that out. For me, a two stage referendum is the way forward. First question a simple ‘Remain’ or ‘Leave’, if Leave won again, a second question of ‘May’s Deal’ or ‘No Deal’. This solution covers most bases, even if it is imperfect.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

We’re all past debating the ethics of a second referendum. For or against another referendum, it’s becoming a political necessity to hold a new one. Parliament cannot pass a Brexit deal, the alternative to that is ‘No Deal’ which Parliament has also voted against. We’re running out of options...
