    The Fumigator

I don’t think there’s a lot of people like that. Indifferent to our situation? Maybe. Sisu, have alienated a lot of people so whether or not they’re in the ‘right’ is immaterial to a lot of people. Agreed that there’s an element of novelty to the support of Wasps.

    The Fumigator

Their fans were excited about having a new home, having been exiled to Wycombe for an age. I don’t blame them.

    Butts

I don’t think CRFC are affected or have a ‘glass ceiling’ put over them. They have their own niche in the market, proper hardcore Coventry rugby supporters support CRFC. Most people I know who go up the Wasps is because for a day out, watching quality rugby. As such, my impression is that the...

Is The Tide Of Opinion Turning?

Only a very, very small percentage of football owners are benevolent enough to throw money at a club without hope of reinvestment. They’ve been aggressive in achieving their goals. Whilst I don’t agree with their methods, things like the club needing full access to match day revenues and...

New Statement from SISU re. Council

No one has said SISU are blameless, but perhaps the penny is dropping for an increasing amount of fans that SISU aren’t the only bad guys in this. To use an example, their stadium plans, or lack of rather, was criticised. But, given the council’s role in any large scale development in the city...

    Priorities

If the club can’t but a share in the RICOH, then our long future has to be building our own stadium. Why does a section of our fans have this weird attachment to the RICOH? It’s brought nothing but disaster for this club even before SISU came to town. Ultimately, the stadium is Wasps’ problem...

    Bouwe Bosma?

Robins has said he’s being released at the end of the season. A signing for the U23s, perhaps he had some good raw attributes to maybe kick on in the EFL. Evidently this isn’t the case. Personally, I don’t mind these kind of signings to beef up our U23s because one of these may make the grade.

JCH - did we really misjudge him ?

I’ve seen more of JCH than Bakayoko and personally preferred JCH at the time. Bakayoko is doing a good job (scoring-wise) at the minute so good for him, and good for us. I hadn’t heard these rumours that we tried to offload Bakayoko first, where has this come from?

JCH - did we really misjudge him ?

He did have the 'worst' goals to game ratio of our 4 strikers... I thought JCH changed our dimension a lot even when he wasn't scoring and, in my view, was underrated by a lot of our fans, but if he was a disruptive influence, he's got to be shipped on.

JCH - did we really misjudge him ?

I thought he was a good player for us, but when a player becomes a disruptive influence on the group, they’ve got to go and their talent is irrelevant. So, if the rumours are true, Robins made the right choice. We’ve done better since he’s gone, and he’s done better at his new club. That’s a...

Match Thread Barnsley vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Mar

The situation hasn’t particularly changed materially because we still have to win as many games as possible down this stretch because we play Doncaster on the last day. Even if we fall away, I’m happy with this season and think it sets us up well going into next season. Regardless, I walk away...

Match Thread Barnsley vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Mar

Not necessarily, to say Doncaster have 6th place locked down is pretty foolish. Doncaster are certainly favourites for that last playoff place, 5-6pts over 6 games is doable. After all, it wasn’t long ago that we were 10pts off and that all changed after 3-4 games unbeaten and playoffs...

Match Thread Barnsley vs. Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 30th Mar

Playoffs haven’t been bombed at all. There’s 6 games left and we play Doncaster on the last day of the season. Our minimum goal should be to cut the deficit to 2 points going into the final game.

    Dry cleaning

Johnson's do dry cleaning and they have a few places dotted around the city, they're pretty good because they've got stains out of my university rugby ties which I was sure were ruined.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

The reason the whole political system is deadlocked is that Brexit is a rather vague concept. In short, leaving the EU as a member is entirely different from leaving the European Economic Area, the Customs Union and Single Market. These fundamental differences made it pretty likely that we were...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

What happens next is pretty interesting as some Government sources reckon a General Election will be called if the deal was rejected today.

    Should Sambou have stayed...?

In terms of progression as a footballer, it wasn't the right move. More and more, we're seeing players make the grade in League 1 and the Championship and earn big contracts with Premiership clubs, for example, Alli, Maddison and Wilson to name a few. If he had the talent, to earn a move to a...

    Montenegro

It's only two games in, but you must have been impressed with the performances we've put out under Southgate, the Czech Republic is the 2nd seed in our group and Montenegro has been a difficult place to go for past England teams, and to come away with 10 goals is fantastic. I'd agree that past...

    Jack Grimmer

I think it’s best for both parties if he moves on. His goal at memorable was one of my favourite goals as a supporter. But, if we’re to challenge for playoffs in the future, he isn’t going to be a starting option it would seem.

    The Hoffman bid

We’ve struggled at times because we can’t finish our chances. These are all professional athletes, I don’t think the off-field stuff affects them at all really. It’s not like we’re facing a points deduction where that potentially affects the players.
