    ticket prices

Ticket prices are important, but a high proportion of our income should be coming from sponsorship and other commercial activities, and of course developing players to sell on.

Apparently we do have access to additional revenue, so we should be fine then.

    ticket prices

If we spent money on building or buying a stadium there'd be no money left to pay for a promotion, we're far better off renting.

    ticket prices

If the entertainment on the pitch is good then £25 is fine, people will pay it. If we are losing then it's difficult to get people to go for free, how many times in the past have you tried to give away a ticket and no one is interested?

Why Not Try A Few More Friday Night Games

Television companies decide the fixtures, away fans are not considered.

    Fisher's Remarks...

It's ok, I don't expect you to go without food (or anything else) to answer my questions. Where is the documentary being shown? What is it about?

    Exeter JPT

If we're renting the Ricoh for each match then the club were probably hoping for an away draw.

    Fisher's Remarks...

What is their strategy for exiting the club?

    Fisher's Remarks...

You could well be right, there's enough bluff to make Robert Robinson want to come back from the grave and judge it all. I'd have thought Higgs would want at least as much as they thought they'd agreed to sell for last time though, and it doesn't give SISU as much return on their investors...

    Fisher's Remarks...

Ok, that may or may not be the case, but going the other way around which is what Fisher is talking about doesn't work. If you get the building you don't get the lease. He talks of owning the stadium, not ACL.

    Fisher's Remarks...

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few weeks then. Talking of rumours and leaks of information Bennett's Afro doesn't seem to post much these days.

    Fisher's Remarks...

I don't know what you mean, I've never been that good with riddles.

    Fisher's Remarks...

I'm not as certain about that as you. I think that now costs have been reduced, and income increased, they may well be able to pay themselves some of that interest they've been accruing.

    Fisher's Remarks...

Also the 22k attendance break even figure isn't just to cover the rent cost, it was mainly wages. If you use the £10 average ticket figure which I believe to be correct, then the crowd needed to be 5,200 each game to cover the rent. 5,200 was still too many, but as you say that was an old deal...

    Fisher's Remarks...

Sorry if I'm missing your point here, but I can't see anything about the building in the linked story.
  16. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

Not sure what you're saying here. The quotes are about ACL, but the argument is about the building.
  17. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

The state aid was in regard ACL and the Council loan to them. I can't recall the judge saying anything about SISU trying to get ownership of the building, but happy to be proven wrong.

    Official Off-Site Car-parking £2.50!!!*

Parked at Tesco, said I was shopping and going to the football, he said I needed to spend £25. I bought a gift card. No attendants at the end of the game.

    Sir Waggott

Yep, so maybe £250k less than the club were offered before they moved to Northampton. The £250k saving isn't great on a two year deal compared to the millions lost in ticket sales and sponsorship.

    Sir Waggott

That would make sense, I don't believe we have a presence at the ground apart from on a match day, so any charges could be packaged as match day costs. Now we can just argue about match day costs, great.
