    Yeovil Attendance

I don't know anyone that would go purely on the basis that it were £5 cheaper, in my experience people are either interested in going or they are not. Sadly most are not.

Sorry if I've missed a joke here, you're not really saying the football wasn't good?

You don't think we'd survive if a new ground is built outside Cov though, so we need to market the club more and get people interested. If the rent is cheap at the Ricoh then even 10,000 attendances should see us compete in League 1, and it would seem that some of the match day income is now...

Think of it as 2 home games in 18 months and it doesn't seem that bad, and one of them was dirt cheap.

Do you mean that we could survive somewhere else other than the Ricoh, or that we can't survive anywhere?

Is it the fact they are giving less money to SISU that riles you? They should be hailed as heroes for getting one over on our evil owners.

They kept the price at £5 because they don't know what they are doing. The same as they thought as Gillingham was on Sky no one would come, and needlessly reduced the price. ok, we disagree with the attendance figures, but if I accept yours, 32,000 at £5 = £160k, 15,000 at £22 = £330k. The...

No I'm not telling you that, I'm saying that the difference in the Crewe attendance could not be described as a large increase compared to the number that would have gone. And from a financial point of view, which is the main point of the argument, 25,000 people at £24 (with a promise of a cup...

I can't remember a game where discounted prices led to a large increase in the crowd compared to those who would go to the same game at the higher price.

If the question is how do we get more people in, then reducing the price will be the answer. If the question is how does the club maximise its income, the answer is not to reduce the price.

More people will be watching City than Pam Eyres, so surely that tells you what is better value, escpecially if you consider her to be better known.

The high prices you quote all get sold though, they could probably put the prices up. Our prices are about right, if we win games people will pay, if we lose it's hard to give tickets away so the price is not the main factor.

Ticket revenue hasn't been our main income for years, certainly wasn't in the last set of accounts, and I doubt it has been since.

Competitive prices, and we'll have one of the better average attendances in the league. We should have one the highest incomes in this league.
