    Sir Waggott

Any current players we sell would be at a profit wouldn't they? Which former players and their agents don't like him?

    Allsop 1st choice??

That's just random words thrown together. If you want to wind people up more you need to work on sentence formation.

    Fisher's Remarks...

I'm not sure they've made any attempt to acquire the ground, all their action has been against ACL.
  4. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

    You're weird man.

    Fisher's Remarks...

No idea, I'll confess that I don't pay a huge interest in other clubs, especially not their ground arrangements. I do know though that a cheap rent with a deal whereby other revenues are shared, especially those on match days, would give the club more income and a chance of profit than if they...

    Fisher's Remarks...

I've already mentioned it. ACL own the lease, that gives them the income. This is hardly ground breaking news.
  7. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

I would agree that it's not worth anyone buying the ground without the lease, as ownership is worthless. I don't see how this links to an argument that the club can't succeed as a tenant.

    Fisher's Remarks...

Hasn't the lease been extended to 40 years?
  9. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

I've never heard him make a point about whether if they bought the stadium they wouldn't own a loan between the Council and ACL.
  10. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

I don't think they would agree, that would put them at huge risk of SISU calling in the loan, or changing it's terms, and that would risk the Councils share of ACL.
  11. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

Totally agree, maybe this should be mentioned to Fisher, he's the one on about owning the ground.
  12. Rusty Trombone

    What formation would you play?

The problem with all these formations is there never seems to be a goalie.
  13. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

If someone else bought the ground, how does this affect a loan between the Council and ACL? They can sell the ground without selling the loan.
  14. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

They wouldn't own the rights to any income, they would just own a building.
  15. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

I don't follow. Are you suggesting that if you buy the ground you own the loan to ACL?
  16. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

Surely just better to buy ACL, get the income without the hassle of owning the building. It's not as if we've loads of money sloshing around to buy a ground and the lease.
  17. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

ACL own the lease, the lease owner gets the income.

    Sir Waggott

He didn't say that, he said the financial model based on renting the Ricoh works in League 1 but not the Championship, he was talking about FFP. I don't know why he thinks it wouldn't work, but that's what he said. Nothing about rent affordability.
  19. Rusty Trombone

    Fisher's Remarks...

Buying the stadium won't generate income for the club.

    empty fookin seats !!!!

If people find it pointless it will fade away, it's not compulsory to read or comment on it.
