    2,500 tickets sold for Saturday

The figure of 2,500 came from the ticket office manager. Expected sales are not actual sales.

How are you defining 'big'. Coventry has a large female population, unfortunately they do subscribe in sufficient numbers either. I don't necessarily mean that Coventry has a population of large females. :)

Maybe SP is deflecting from another possible problem, that of players wages being too high, and this leading to high prices. As ticket income is a mere fraction of the clubs wages, either the wages need to come down, prices need to go up, or we need to write thank you letters to Joy and her...

And turnstile operators who rather strangely had more cash in their pockets on their way home than they did on their way to work the turnstile.

I see the £2 walk fee isn't actually a fee, it's just everyone who buys in advance gets a discount. That's nice.

    is it really that hard?

I think Torch's point is that other roads are available, and other people may be coming from a different place, and may well travel past Gallagher retail park. Edit, there you go, the man has said it himself. :)

The website isn't working for everyone, people are not making it up. Hopefully whatever issue they are having will soon be sorted out.

When Coventry were sent to Northampton, the fans revolted . .

20,000 of the people who went on Friday could miss the Sat game, and the attendance still be over 10,000. Different people, different games.

When Coventry were sent to Northampton, the fans revolted . .

Apropos nothing, I was talking to a Cov born and bred lad at work today who I knew had tried many avenues to get a ticket for the game on Friday, in the end he did manage to get one after hours of queuing. Asked if he was going this week, he answered no as it turns out he's a West Brom season...

If you want seats in the middle of the stand and include the walk up fee for sat, then the average price for the two home games so far is £18.50. That's what some people are saying will increase the attendance isn't it?

I'm sure I've read a few posts of yours where you let us know how well you're doing financially, no mortgage no credit card debts etc, is this not pretty much the same thing you are criticising Grendel for?

    Yeovil Attendance

I would agree about scrapping the walk up fee, although the £2 shouldn't be a deal breaker, I think it's enough to put people off if they are looking for an excuse not to go. Also at the moment there's too many problems with getting tickets either online or with long queues in the shop. My...

That's right, so should the club reduce prices drastically in an attempt to entice those people who view football as the least important thing in their life? I don't think they should, instead they should market the club more to try and move watching the football up the priority list.

    Yeovil Attendance

I didn't think the standard of football was poor. The prices are the same as two years ago, hardly 'ever increasing'. You can get a ticket for £18 and then pretty much sit where you want. If someone doesn't want to go that's their prerogative, but some people seem to want to blame the price...

    Yeovil Attendance

Ok, completely respect his position, but sounds like the club will receive all the money he is prepared to pay, just it will be over less games. However if prices were reduced, the club wouldn't get any more money from him, and would lose out on every other ticket bought.
