    Time to face Reality

I guess you knew all about this Wasps deal a while ago.

    Time to face Reality

All we can do is keep going, try and encourage others to go, support the team and not boo them if the result doesn't go our way, don't put pressure on young kids trying their best for their home town club by constantly slagging them off. Then, maybe one day, things will slowly get better, but...

    A quick question

We need the voice of common sense to cut through all this nonsense, can you sum all of this drama up for us RFC. Please do not use capital letters though unless they are necessary.

    Wasps attendances..

Nick, you have created us all, have you really forgotten none of this is real?

    Wasps attendances..

If I've started quoting you then you must have got into my subconscious thoughts, if I start reciting 'where did I say that' then I'll seek help. :p

this Says it all for me.

Much better to rent a stadium than trying to fund a new one. We can't afford a new one, we can afford to rent. Cov RFC don't seem terribly bothered.

    Wasps attendances..

That's odd as there's already a club in Coventry, did he not know that either?

    A quick question

What happens when the grass gets cut?

CCFC can still have the Higgs 50% share ???

I bet the former and current shareholders were pissing themselves when they thought of this plan.

    More Court Action

They've already agreed to sell, the Charity Commission is hardly going to make them keep an investment they don't want.

    More Court Action

Good point, I would suspect that has been considered by Higgs though, and as wasps can veto anyway a higher bid wouldn't be successful unless there's something in it for them as well.

    More Court Action

Surely the only players are the club (in one form or other), as Higgs have already agreed to sell to Wasps. I doubt Wasps would have agreed to buy 50% without being confident of the destiny of the other 50%.

    More Court Action

As long as that's just your opinion then, rather than having anything to explain why. I can live with that.
  14. Rusty Trombone

    More Court Action

Not naive at all, it's up to Higgs, not the Council. If it's that obvious that the veto will be enacted why would 3 companies bid already.
  15. Rusty Trombone

    More Court Action

Are they all SISU companies? I suppose wasps can decide who they most want to work with, if they think ACL can be profitable they would be foolish to share the company with anyone else.
  16. Rusty Trombone

    More Court Action

Why would there be more than one bid?
  17. Rusty Trombone

    More Court Action

How is this offer the Council's fault, surely the shares are being sold by Higgs.
  18. Rusty Trombone

    More Court Action

Are you suggesting that the Council shares have not been bought by Wasps yet? If they have, the Council has no veto.
  19. Rusty Trombone

    More Court Action

How is it anything to do with the Council, they have sold their shares.
  20. Rusty Trombone

CCFC can still have the Higgs 50% share ???

On reflection, I think you're right G. I think it would cost too much for SISU to get the old company up and running, and the timescale is too short. Still a slight, slight, chance it could happen.
