    Thorn Speaks

That kid needs to be late more often, sounds like he beat most of Yorkshire to win the 2nd penalty. :D

How much money would we lose if/when we get relegated?

I've read somewhere that Championship clubs get £2 million per season each in TV money. League 1 Clubs get just £100,000. If that's true, then, adding on the loss from reduced crowds, sponsorship etc, then can anyone guess how much relegation will cost us?

    Thorn Talk after Reading defeat

http://www.clubcall.com/coventry-city/thorn-bemoans-sky-blues-luck-1380302.html "We gave it a real good go in the second half. I thought we were on top until they scored but it always seems to go against you when you are in the position we are in. Some of the saves Federici pulled off were...

The Guardian: City were "valiant but limited"

Misery loves Company. I bet on average, we keep possession longer within games then most teams in this league. A pity then, that we do far less with that possession then anyone else (especially away from home). Besides, I'm sure we can do the double over Yeovil next season. :D

7 goals scored in 15 away games

As soon as Reading took the lead, you knew that was 'game over'. Depressing stuff.

So, what EXACTLY is required for City to stay up?

The update of doom continues  ...plus Donny now have 2 games in hand. At least Forest and Millwall were held to draws. Bottom of the table, now 8 points from safety and well.....fracked.

Was juke this crap for us?

hahahahahahahhaaahaha! :D Mark my words - he'll STILL finish the season as our top goal scorer!

    Don't shoot the messenger

Jones had millions to spend at Cardiff, and his players bottled it in big games. He would get 2p here and would have players who bottle it in injury time.

So, what EXACTLY is required for City to stay up?

Updated after another injury time shocker! ...plus today's match between Derby vs Forest has been called off, following yesterday's postponement of Donny vs Pompey. So both of the 2 teams above us have a game in hand. Bottom of the table, 7 points from safety and becoming known as the...

Why I think Thorn should go

Certainly the lowest ebb I can remember. Losing at Sutton Utd & Northampton was painful. This season to date is just like prolonged torture and its not over yet. Our problems are a lot deeper than changing the manager (which this club could teach a course in). There almost needs to be an...

    Cryogenic Sleep is the answer

I just don't see this team mounting an challenge for a mid-table place in League 1 next season, let alone the play-offs. That's before the 'fire-sale' of players which would follow relegation, and £2 million lost on TV revenue. I look at teams like Leeds and Forest, who (traditionally) have...

Why I think Thorn should go

That's been the case for years now. There's a cancer deep within the club which successive managers, players, coaches and boards have been unable to cut out for almost 20 years now. Should AT go? Probably. Should a replacement now make any major difference? Not really. This season is just the...
