He’s 21 and should probably be playing regular football somewhere. I seriously doubt he should be doing that with us. His reputation will likely never be higher than it is right now, if I were him I would use it to get a decent move lower down the leagues.

Both of them need to be moved on. Give them a quick curtain call to keep the crowd happy against Huddersfield next week.

No, but I think people are underestimating how much damage his signing has done. People making apologies for him based on him being a nice guy who works hard seems bizarre to me.

Wasn’t there a suggestion a while back that Wilson wasn’t happy at not getting more of a runout? (Which, given how far above his station he currently is, I find insane)

So what? For the record I also would have worked hard for £4000 a week - I wouldn’t expect people to be able to defend giving me a three year deal though.

Never understood why people keep bringing this kid up. He was a cheap lottery ticket who kicked around the reserves for a bit and left. We could have given him a 40-year contract and he still would have cost less than Hillsner, and would have had the same impact on the first team.

Surely Wasps can only hope to make money from renting to us, or staging other events at the CBS. Not sure why they would trade that for a smaller stadium at Warwick Uni (which they still wouldn’t fill, not that it’s ever going to exist anyway).

Kastaneer at least played for us a handful of times - he even scored! Plus he was on L1 wages, and we were able to ship him out when required. No-one will pretend that Kastaneer offered value for money, but Hilssner has just been a money pit. We would have saved money by setting half a million...

Sad news for him. Also dreadful news for us in terms of rebuilding the squad next season - hard to see how we get him off the wage bill now. He will surely go down as Robins’ worst ever signing here.

Why would Wasps ever agree to this?

Going by many posts on this thread, I think they’ve been vilified pretty well.

But surely Warwick University would never agree to have their name associated with yet another CCFC stadium pipe dream project? (At least that’s what I was told)

Reading back this thread and I refuse to believe that someone showed up at a school with a burning twin towers t-shirt on September 12, 2001.

If Tavares had hit that volley yesterday we'd have sold 20,000 season tickets this morning.

We’re all he has. Quite sweet really. A real public service from everyone who replies - it’s like checking in at the old folks home.
