Well clearly someone has time to ignore the reports, move this thread to a different forum, and close other threads elsewhere. As I say - it’s their choice what kind of place they want to run. Maybe they want to set up a dedicated sub-forum for homophobia.

Yeah you can’t be banning people or deleting posts just because they’re throwing around homophobic abuse, that’s crazy talk. I think @Nick is too busy making sure the Coventry Ladies thread gets closed on the main forum, that could have really got out of hand.

Did the stoppage ruin our momentum? I don’t remember us struggling to create chances, or them getting back into the game afterwards. It was almost certainly a bit of gamesmanship from them but the way the referee handled it meant it didn’t impact us all. Good for him!

Both teams were in the same/similar positions - they had plenty of people defending in each situation. When the referee blew the whistle it wasn’t like we were through on goal, or even in the middle of some kind of quick break counter-attack.

Really? He let the game continue for longer than most refs would have, then after the player had been dealt with we got the ball back uncontested in the same position and continued to attack them. It didn’t change the flow of the game at all.

A loan isn’t helping him. Unless he goes out on loan and scores 10+ goals then his career with us is likely over - if I was him I’d be parlaying all this hype into getting a good contract with a L1 or L2 team. His stock is probably never going to be higher than it is right now.
