All of the hysteria about sacking Dyche is starting to look very silly.

    Waghorn

Imagine what we could have done this year with a full season of an extra player performing better than O’Hare/Gyokeres etc. I don’t think what I’m saying is that outlandish. We paid him to be the main man and he hasn’t delivered at all.

    Waghorn

Also a bad signing! Albeit not as costly as Waghorn. Did anyone consider signing Waghorn a coup?

    Waghorn

He’s been unfortunate with injuries and recovery, as can often be the case with players over 30. Either way he’s been of little use to us.

    Waghorn

So our players get a pass because our owners are tight? I expect more from our owners but I expect the players to offer a return on their salary too. Do you think Waghorn has played like the highest paid player at the club this year?

Thought he was great in Only Murders In The Building.

    Waghorn

He’s undoubtedly the reason why we’re not in the playoffs this year. We’ve been scrabbling for cash all season and failing to strengthen in key positions, because we gambled a huge chunk of the budget on a player who’s barely contributed. If we want to get promoted, we can’t afford to get...

And yet even Kasta managed to do his job better than Hilssner - actually playing football for Coventry City. Did it for less money too. I know I’m being harsh on a guy who seems to be an honest pro (albeit one who is way out of his depth) but it’s not a popularity contest.

Waghorn has at least given us some kind of return though. Unless you think it’s better to pay someone to do nothing than it is to pay them for an underwhelming job. If we are indeed still paying Waghorn next season then he may well end up being the worst Robins era signing. Although he seems...

Exclamation marks are juvenile? Are question marks OK?

He’s been crap, but he’s at least actually done the job he’s paid to do, and he’ll be mostly (if not entirely) off the wage bill after one year.

Well I fail to see how Bright was a bigger waste of money than Hilssner if his contract wasn’t worth more. Bright even managed to play for us once as part of the deal!

Do we really think he cost us more on a two year deal from East Bengal?

Comparing those two - who each scored important goals that won us points - to Hilssner (who has literally never played and could well earn more than both of them combined) is bizarre. Hiwula was our top scorer three seasons ago!
