    Where's the deal?

I'm not sure if there was an absence of a plan, but rather an absence of flexibility. The plan to invest money in the front line, buying the top players from lower league clubs and (presumably) flipping them to reinvest in multiple players wasn't a bad one at all. It is the closest I can think...

    Where's the deal?

Sure, but this was always known - that's the nature of a hedge fund. When people such as LBB talk of SISU 'not investing £X', then he must be referring to the clients' money. The money may not have been spent well, but it has been spent...unless I'm missing something?

    Where's the deal?

How much do you think SISU has footed to support/taken out of the club?

    Clive Eakin's Christmas present was....

The advantage that Eakin has, much like Dent, is that he's an outsider who is able to see our situation a lot more objectively than most. He's not on the wind-up, and I'm sure that he cares about the club after a decade of coverage. But when Dave Moron of Spon End calls up to say "SISU haven't...

No doubt about Coleman, but there were whispers at the time suggesting AB was not RR's choice (he wanted Robbins).

the REAL 'Villian' in this whole sorry SISU ownership saga

It's not right to vilify a man based on a bit of hearsay. Dulieu's actions spoke for themselves, but there's nothing concrete about what Igwe has or hasn't done. Put down the torches and pitchforks, eh?

    fat bloke with glasses

It's not a ridiculous thought. There are major differences between baseball and football, but the principles remain the same. If you're a team with few resources then you've got to get creative instead of always looking for a non-existent handout. There's a team in baseball named the Tampa Bay...

    Message for Andy Thorn

Any manager would be more successful if they had better players! That is a complete non-argument. Stick Barca's first team in Sky Blue colours and I'm sure AT would be a genius. Is he really making the most of a squad with Cranie, Keogh, Wood, Bell, McSheffrey, Baker, Juke, Eastwood...

    Andy Thorns Record

It's a testament to how popular this forum has become that there are so many threads on multiple subjects. It's not just Thorn - there's no shortage of regurgitation on SISU and, over the past few days for example, Ken Dulieu. Let trends be trends. Can't just box up those whose views you don't like.

    Hussey, Christie & Bigi

That's a bit simplistic. The much-missed Dann, Fox, and Westwood all came from lower league sides.

Coventry Telegraph- Its about time you served your City..SISU Out!

That's your counter-argument? Really? Nope. The CT is guilty of very poor journalism IMO.

SISU and money aside...what's wrong here?

    Okay, but which positions?

I thought it was a pretty tasty piece. They even called him 'perma-tanned'. It was hardly an Associated Press release.

Coventry Telegraph- Its about time you served your City..SISU Out!

What's politically correct about what I wrote? That's not irrefutable. Had SISU not taken over there would have been administration, meaning draconian cost-cutting, a 10 point deduction, likely relegation, and a very uncertain future with so many debts being owed to parties outside the club...

Coventry Telegraph- Its about time you served your City..SISU Out!

It is about being objective, which is a responsible position. For example, when the club said an 'X-Factor player' was on the way, but none appeared. Objectively, it's fine to comment on poor communication and understanding why fans are frustrated...but it's not right to say that SISU lied...

I like the bit where Fisher says "The board of the football club should include a representative of the owner". The board of the football club should tell us who the owner actually is.

What positions would you say lack Championship quality?

    Thorn if sacked???

Cranie, Wood, Keogh, Clingan, Gardner, McSheffrey, Eastwood, Juke. Not world-beating names, I grant you, but the way some speak on here you'd think we were running out the U-16 team every week. They should be doing better. I really wish that was the case, but the guy is still in a job and has...
