Think you’re right that there’s bound to be add ons tho if we only paid €1m.

    Announcing Binks?

Great signing. Got to love how much he seems to want to play for us. No need to write Kitching off. They’ll keep each other honest. Pretty sure Kitching has played at LB in his past. Not saying he’d be perfect there but it’s another potential rotation option.

Great signing. He’s got loads of potential and it’s always been clear that he loves being at the club!

That equates to about €1m. Bargain if true.

    Things that annoy you

Love France and the French. Can have a great laugh with them. Met many from all over that country. But my worst experiences eating, drinking, buying things and dealing with officials have all happened in France.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Even if we didn’t let anyone in the country from tomorrow our infrastructure is not fit for purpose and is holding us back.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

HS2 has turned into a gashy mess. Northern bits axed and the main termini of HS1 & HS2 located miles apart. On top of poor messaging all the way through its like how you’d do it if you wanted it to fail. Like saying “Here’s a dirty great big white elephant shit thing that we did - all those...

Is your man Steve McLaren? Might explain the slightly Dutch sounding pronunciation of Godden.

    binks to sign permanently

One problem with Binks is that while last year, he was a potential hidden gem, half the world has now seen his cameo against Man U. He’s been clear that he wants to leave Italy so Bologna will not want an asset tied up and not performing so I guess they’ll sell ultimately but they probably want...

    Summer transfer window 2024

Agreed, Thomas was further down the Burnley pecking order than McNally last summer (coming off a season in L1 vs McNally in the champ) but the tables have definitely turned for those two based on how last season played out. Don’t think McNally would suit us now.

Euros. Everyone who might be interested is now glued to the Euros to see how their other targets get on. Arsenal have been tracking Sesko who, even if he ends up top scorer, is probably going to be cheaper than Vik.

Ho reassuring for ETH. “We’ve been talking to other managers about the position but reluctantly decided to stick with you (for now)”

    Get This-Simms

Ok I can see this is an article of faith for you. Not fussed enough to dive into a semantic rabbit hole. I’m not entirely convinced by what most of the world calls AI either.

    Get This-Simms

I wouldn’t disagree that it is full of shit but ChatGPT is supported by a Large Language Model (LLM) - a recognised part of the AI landscape.

Just goes to show how far AI output is from being usable in many cases.

    Transfer Rumour Paddy McNair

Whether or not the rumour is legit, McNair would be good. From what I gather, Boro can’t justify keeping him as they have a CB partnership that works better. Doesn’t mean he’s become a bad player. He played a massive part in their run to the play offs last year and is a decent defender & solid...

    Victor Torp

He also exudes calm and seems super focused. I must admit, I was a bit surprised how wayward his first touch was at times but I think that was where lack of confidence was showing. And 100%, he either scores or pulls defences apart. I’ve always loved a striker who can rough up centre halves...

Agree with most of that. Simms does take a while to build up speed. But even at full pelt it’s well short of the speed of say, Wright imo. It’s that strength you mention combined with reasonable speed that gives him a real edge. Looking forward to seeing more of it again next season.
