To be fair - they bought the company with all assets including the escrow.

I said: What is the best case scenario for Coventry City in 5 year? I meant: What is the best case scenario for the city of Coventry in 5 year? Never mind ... My point is that the council owns half the ACL - so beside the operational side of the business there's also the political aspect for...

Rent - Want the best for CCFC = quick agreement

I think both parties are clouding the issue by using incomparable figures. And if the figures aren't comparable we cannot really say if any offer is reasonable or not.

But is ACL a 'normal business'? Never mind that - in any business you will know the threats as well as the potentials. The biggest threat to ACL was always losing their main tenant.

Rent - Want the best for CCFC = quick agreement

Then I am a twit. I also listen to ACL. Does that then make me a twat?

Rent - Want the best for CCFC = quick agreement

So in all fairness we still aren't sure if we should compare the current figure £1.2m to £400k or £800k? Maybe the Trust can get the answer from the club?

If ACL can be driven into administration it is not a viable business. Evidence? Well, that requires a look into the future accounts, so difficult to provide at this time. Without evidence all we have is educated guesses. The simple starting point is to look at their current business and...

Rent - Want the best for CCFC = quick agreement

Yes, but are the 'extras' not included in the current £1.28m/yr? (I have asked if anybody know this a couple of times, but no reply so far).

Rent - Want the best for CCFC = quick agreement

Ah, but it's not £400k/yr. That figure came from ACL but they forgot to mention all the extras adding up to another £400k/yr. That's £800k/yr and when you consider our total income is down to about £5mio/yr it really does matter if the rent is £400k or £800k.

Why can't you just acknowledge that there are absolutely no evidence that sisu was ever prepared to pay £10m for the shares? All they have stated is that they would like to buy them, but they never said at what price!

And Higgs paid <£2m for the shares (I think).

Sure, as long as we don't differ on more improtant issues like beer, women and football ... then different opinions are great! :D

You really are something! The argument we had was about your claim that sisu were prepared to buy the shares for £10m. Now, please repeat after me: Sisu never said they were prepared to pay £10m for the Higgs shares!

Had sisu - or anybody else - predicted the finacial crisis five years ago, the club wouldn't exist today. And to be honest, if this board is not successful in getting to break-even, the club probably won't exist for long. I see the replacement of two boards as 'taking responsibility'. We...

You know what - I do think Fisher should have kept his mouth shut about ACL's finances. That was completely out of order. I also think ACL was out of order announcing they had offered a rent of £400k (forget the fact it was more like £800k) - details of negotiations should never be released...

    Pro-SISU / Anti-SISU

Yes - what shareholders/owners do is appoint the board and give them their objectives. Then they sack the board when the objectives are not met. The plans and budgets and overall operation is down to the board and the management they appoint. But we, the fans, are not really interested in the...

    Pro-SISU / Anti-SISU

There you go again looking to past mistakes ... oh, that's what you do successfully for a living :D. I think we should stop using the phrase 'now' when we are talking about their cost reduction efforts. The recent board has addressed the rent issue from day one ... since almost a year ago...

From a purely business perspective: If ACL can adjust and improve their business model and make a profit without any rent received from ccfc, then they should really issue the winding up petition. In reality though: If improving their business model only leave them with a small profit that may...
