    FFP rules

FFP is more than a salary cap. It also put's a limit to a clubs losses and the extend of loans. I don't think it has been implemented in the lower leagues yet - but it will come. FFP will in the future force football clubs into selfsustainable entities rather than being dependent on sugar daddys.

    Good article

It is a well written piece that pretty much sums up the events till now. But the writer concludes his article with one-eyed suggestions on the final outcome. If he has based his article on more than cut and paste from other written articles and actually talked to people involved, there seem to...

Not so, his stake was Prozone ... and he lost it.

Ranson was a shareholder. There would be a shareholder agreement, and this agreement seems to have stipulated something like: The board is responsible for the 3yr plans and budgets. Sisu will provide fundings according to the 3 yr financing plan. Sisu only had one representative at the board -...

    finances

You know I have much respect for your professionel views on the finance situation. But I have enough experiences myself on balance sheets to know how difficult it can be to predict the next financial report based on the previous. Even with good knowledge of the company's operation and the market...

Ranson blew it. The economic world changed and the gates declined. Ranson failed to cut costs accordingly. So yes - an opportunity to start 'debt free' has been blown.

I can't really get into my head why so many posters think sisu/the board are clueless and just sits starring at the wall. Of course they have a plan - and it's right in front of you! The whole cost-cutting exercise is their current action plan and has been since Ransons regime failed. Reducing...

    Joy Seppala and SISU Honesty.

Yes - it is quite annoying. Most people just put: (10 characters) Again, welcome to the forum. I am sure we will be having many interesting conversations. :D

CCFC Ltd cannot be run at a loss...

That raises a lot of questions :D How old are the latest accounts? What exactly is 'direct costs'? (I didn't hear the Friday radio show) Interest £1m+ ... have the club started to pay interest to the sisu funds, or are this interest payable to ARVO? How accurate is the figure? Do we actually...

    Joy Seppala and SISU Honesty.

Very well then. Here's a tip. Though this section is actually designed for topics like the one you raise, it only (per default) applies to periods when the finances or the ownership is out of the daily debate. So you will find 10-20 new threads on everything sisu, rent, ACL et al in the general...

    Joy Seppala and SISU Honesty.

Interesting - a new poster pops up with an eight year old quote (which I believe has already been posted here in the board/finance section a year ago). Most posters start posting something football related and are then slowly getting into the off-field debate. Anyway - welcome to the forum...

I would have suggested mediation in his shoes - and if ACL then says arbitration I would accept within 15 nanoseconds.

I actually think even sisu are amazed it has taken this long. When I first mentioned arbitration - or mediation - my only thought was to get the issue solved and avoid off-field disturbances like the sisu-out-campaign last season. But looking back - and judging only the negotiation tactics - I...

If the match ends 2-2 will Carsley get sacked?

They can't call a mediator alone. They need to agree with ACL on this.

    If SISU did leave......

It depends on how they leave. If they liquidate the club, then it's game over. If they put the club up for sale the Trust will try to find investors to take over.

    club statement

The smart point of bringing in a mediator - be it Deloitte or other - is they will surely present a compromise. This way the deal will be sweeter to the club than what is offered now. I don't for a second believe ACL have offered all they can. Especially on the rent already owed.

    One for OSB

OSB is right - ACL cannot break sisu, so those who dream of seeing sisu take a direct hit can wake up now. Half a year ago both ACL and the club could end up dead, but since the council took over the mortgage ACL is secured at least short term, but still depends on having the club bringing...
