    Raising our game

How about we contributors to this forum raising our game now that we're in League 1? Two things I would like to see...…. Remember that we're 'supporters' helping the team through difficult times rather than the manic-depressive approach to winning and losing games. Red cards for anyone who...

    Stokes injury

Just surprised that he could carry on heading a ball without some sort of cover on the stitches.

    Stokes injury

Anyone know what the problem with Stokes was that caused him to go off? It looked like a cut eye but there was no bandage on his return.

    Goalscorers

    Bayliss 6, Shipley 6, Jones 5, Vincenti 3, Doyle 3, Kelly 1, Stevenson 1, Kelly-Evans 1, Andreu 1 = 27

    Goalscorers

So it looks to me as though our goals were scored by McNulty 28 Strikers 27 Midfield 27 Defence 5 Not a bad pattern

    Stop worrying

Why not save all the worry and just add the season's home and away results to decide who goes up from the play-offs? So Coventry 4 Notts County 2 Lincoln 3 Exeter 3 (Exeter on away goals) Coventry 2 Exeter1 YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

    Goals galore

If you'd been to the first 35 games this season you'd have seen 67 goals. In the last 10 you'd have seen 44. Has this significant change happened by accident or design? Note that the number of points per game has been pretty much the same in the 10 games as in the 35.

    Well Done Coventry City

When we won promotion from Division 2 in 1967 we won 23 and drew 13 so 82 points by today's standards. And that was from 42 games. Also, by today's standards, got 82 points in 1964 when we won promotion from Division 3 (22 wins, 16 draws) but that was from 46 games.

    Simple Thread: Points & Position

Have to agree with this - 5 wins, 1 draw, 2 defeats. Hoping for better.

    The Run In

Just got to keep this run of good form going. Extrapolating the results of the top 9 over their last 5 games has us gaining automatic promotion in second place to Accrington and 3 points clear of Luton. Mansfield and Swindon miss out.

A record breaking season awaits us?

At the time there was a Third Division North and a Third Division South of similar ability. Finishing 19th in the Third Division South was the equivalent of finishing 14th in the Fourth Division.

A record breaking season awaits us?

We've had worse seasons than that. 19th in the old Third Division South in 1958 put us into the Fourth Division.

A record breaking season awaits us?

There was only one previous campaign in the bottom tier (1959). For the record - P46 W24 D12 L10 84-47 Pts 60

A record breaking season awaits us?

And when we last won promotion from the fourth tier of English football (1959) we had 5 gates of over 20,000. Be nice to equal that.

    Topsy-turvy league

Inevitable that their players won't want to get injured or suspended with the prospect of a final at Wembley. Should work to our advantage.

    Topsy-turvy league

Only we and Accrington have won our last 2 games. All to play for.
