The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

I’m not sure that is quite fair Clint (I wasn’t even sure if you were joking - sorry if I missed the gag). People voted leave for a variety of reasons, many of which could/should have been addressed by the UK government and EU before the vote even took place. Following the vote, the country...

Agreed, however, my point was that it has no place in any the withdrawal agreement/political declaration. It should be part of future trade discussions/agreement

EU smell blood and I reckon they are thinking a second referendum is becoming more likely....hence they continue to push (Gibraltar, access to waters etc) Unfortunately we’ve seen this happen numerous times before (in relation to EU referendums on treaties) and I can see it happening again. A...

Don’t know but if they did make it they’re probably being taught in one of our primary schools !!!! :emoji_joy:

Said a million times to mates that the EU should’ve pretended to give Cameron a concession (by telling him to use what’s already available and/or an ‘emergency brake’), remain would’ve won comfortably. What’s done is done though

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Agreed. As a country we didn’t use the options available to limit migration. The policitical establishment never imagined for a minute that the public would vote for brexit (nor did the EU) so ignored their concerns It’s a big arrogant fuck up....so to speak !

All. May included. Labour policy was outrageous in retrospect and some argued it was tantamount to social engineering (I voted for them aroud that time so my bad !!!)

Anyone in parliament Sick Boy....the paucity of options is embarrassing

I agree. It depends what politicians see the options as. If a Remainer thinks voting it down will lead to a Second Referendum they will but if they believe that doing this could mean we end up with a No deal then they might support. If a Brexiteer thinks voting it down will lead to a change of...

I’m probably going totally against public opinion but one thing I do admire about May is that even as a Remainer she has adamantly pushed back on a second referendum even when that could have been an easy personal ‘get out’. Most would’ve done a Cameron and said ‘fuck it, you lot deal with...

Sorry, my rushed grammar, I meant I had read both sides arguments in relation to Mays deal. Neither like it but probably aren’t being totally honest about their thoughts in public as it ticks some boxes on both sides but neither want to admit it as they both want the extremes ie Stay or Leave...

Could have partially limited it but not fully controlled. As I said, neither recent governments have attempted to properly control immigration for years and that’s what led to a lot of people voting for brexit (some totally misguided).

Read both sides of the arguments on it. Bizarrely, under the circumstances it’s probably reflective of the split nation that we are. She’s tried to please everyone and whilst I think she’s been a poor leader and handled negoations badly I can’t blame her for the mess we are in. It’s a...

:emoji_joy:. I’ve voted Tory (and labour)....shit...that’s why I’ve got no friends...neither side want to be friends with me !!! In actual fact that’s probably why I’ve got a fair few, because I’m open minded, listen to people’s views and willing to take onboard others suggestions and arguments.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Did you an Pete properly read my whole post ?! This is the problem with trying to sensibly debate this topic. People are either rabidly one way or the other and, like a lot of ignorant voters who will only ever vote one way in a general election (whoever and whatever they are voting for) take...

I cant believe that after all this time those that voted Remain (not just on here, various comments on FT comments page etc) still don't appear to grasp the difference between controlled and uncontrolled immigration. The fact is no country should have uncontrolled immigration, when you think...

It would never have worked (as in the country/public accepting it) as we would have to accept the four freedoms. Looked at it a bit back and this is an interesting (unbiased I think) article. The Norway model is back on the Brexit agenda — here's what that means What a mess the current...

    Appeal Dismissed

Don’t disagree, however, there has been interest before and a new buyer might look at the long play (building bridges rather than suing those you might need to do a deal with and/or hoping that eventually Wasps may struggle financially themselves)

Agree with this and Doyle, even on a poor day never goes missing, keeps looking for the ball etc etc. One 60 yard chase back late in the game was unbelievable, especially for a 37 year old. Not his best game but still there to pop in the equaliser. Also special mention to Burge. I’d be surprised...
