The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Interesting comment by Vince Cable on Corbyn "Since he appears to be determined to play party political games rather than acting on the wishes of his own members and MPs, he will no longer be able to rely on our support for further no-confidence motions. I believe other parties are taking the...

Fully aware of the procedure, my point remains the same, if Labour were that concerned about the No Deal they could have made an amendment proposal, pushed for it publically and voted for the withdrawal agreement. I understand that the NI backstop amendment was voted down due to concerns over...

That’s why I said ‘it’s parliament’. But as I also said if Labour (and the opposition parties) wanted a No deal off the table they had the opportunity. A significant number of tories that voted against were ERG and would like a No deal (bizarrely). They aren’t the ones now asking for it to be...

Mucca - I refer you to my earlier email. This isn't "the Tories MPs" doing the unthinkable....its parliament "Haha, not well ! however, its exactly the point though Tony. The withdrawal agreement, for all its faults, would have ensured No Deal didn't happen. The next stage of the discussions...

Haha, not well ! however, its exactly the point though Tony. The withdrawal agreement, for all its faults, would have ensured No Deal didn't happen. The next stage of the discussions (as Ive said before) would have involved a trade agreement, which considering the backstop issues may have ended...

Agreed, the parties are neck and neck in reality (frightening when Tories are in turmoil) but as I mentioned before however much a mess May has made of things in recent months she's consistently polled ahead of Corbyn in the leadership polls. surely that tells you something ?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

It tells you that for all her mistakes, pathetic negotiations etc, the public still see her as at least trying to deliver on the referendum result. Whether people on here accept it or not, the politicising of such an important subject will not go down well with a large section of the...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

So let me get this straight, various politicians want to take a No Deal off the table even though this is currently one of the main incentives for the EU to get a (sensible) deal done ?! Beggars belief ! My understanding is that from a legal stand point this is also currently not possible...

It’s what the EU want and what labour are suggesting they need in order it to support (and after the likely fail in the no confidence vote/attempt to force a GE, they will have to start taking the process more seriously) This was however deliverable during the withdrawal agreement though (heard...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

And yet we’ve still got politicians fucking about, labour politicising the matter, tories split (hard line brexiteers still believing a no deal is likely) etc etc. GE = further delays, no likely certainty this year. Second referendum = further delays, no likely certainty until summer/autumn...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Haha, yeah, it was tongue in cheek. I’m not saying he couldn’t claw back/change people’s opinions, I’m just saying that there is no doubt another leader would be far ahead in the polls when the government is in such a mess. Apparently 100 labour MPs will press for second referendum tomorrow if...

Have you not heard about the additional funding committed to the NHS ?!! (from your friend May !) Ps Petes already stolen my answer about centre left. It’s what most the country are deep down. May wouldn’t have called the election if Corbyn wasn’t polling so poorly. He had a great campaign but...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

As I said Ian, hung parliament (not Tory win even if they are leading in one poll - appreciate most have a biase !) The public have no faith in Corbyn. If a decent/competent centre left leader was in charge Labour would win by a landslide ! Whilst most are slating May (I’m not fan but she’s...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

How will a GE sort out this mess ? Likely hung parliament. Im not a fan of polls but one at the weekend had Tories 6 points up - I presume that may have be partially caused by public perception of Corbyn politicising Brexit. A majority of the public and business just want parliament to get on...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Interesting times. They reckon the number of Tories that voted against the deal is pretty much the same those that voted against her in the confidence vote pre Christmas, so in that sense maybe the scale of loss isn’t a surprise. What a mess !

Not shooting the messenger but what the fuck is the point of delaying this mess any further (without a specific reason to do so). I didn’t think I’d ever hear myself say this (as I don’t agree with it) but if the deal gets voted down and the EU aren’t giving any more concessions, then it really...

It would require FOM although if EEA was agreed then I’m guessing the backstop wouldn’t be necessary as it (should) allow the soft border to remain Again, as I’ve said numerous times, if people want this, why would they risk voting down the withdrawal agreement as this might well end up being...

    Highlights

Just watched the highlights and it reaffirmed what I thought at the match....we pretty much battered them but gave away a sloppy goal and were wasteful in front of goal (Hiwula and Thomas missing best chances)
