Match Thread Coventry City vs. Southend United Match Thread - Saturday 29th Dec

Z He was very good when he came on. Should’ve had a dig when Chaplin set him up but apart from that held it up well and bullied them. Fair play to Chaplin as well (you’d be disappointed if I didn’t mention him Grendel) still sprinting to close down in injury time. Disappointing that he didn’t...

Poor game but started coming into it a bit more last ten. Hopefully start second half on front foot

No I was almost directly behind where he shot from (just higher up)

Hardly awful. I was right behind it and it was only a yard or so wide (after cutting in an beating his man). At least be honest with your criticism ! Should’ve done better with the volley though

Cheers Otis. Need a new boxset and this wasn’t even on my radar Just finished watching The Innocent Man. Slow in patches but still well worth a watch

    Trust response to Tim Fisher

Not at all. I’m just pragmatic. I’ve read some of the historical comments from judges etc. A lease is a negotiation between two parties. The ball is now in our court that’s all I’ve said

I know but by saying we weren’t ever going to come back to the Ricoh long term (and would build our own stadium) they strengthened the Councils public support. I’m no fan of the council by the way

    Trust response to Tim Fisher

Ok, to be more specific they are a party to the action so are having to incur significant legal costs. It’s semantics as the point remains the same, Wasps have indicated their terms to do a deal (whether we all agree with those terms or not), it’s now up to us.....unless Wasps get desperate for...

    Trust response to Tim Fisher

Probably correct but it didn’t help and may well have given the Council the excuse to do a deal with Wasps (something they no doubt wanted to do due to the total breakdown in the relationship with us/SISU)

    Trust response to Tim Fisher

It obviously did escape my attention as I suggested it might have in my earlier post that I wasn’t aware of this (‘apologies if this has been offered without my knowledge....’). Presume this is no longer on the table though ? The point remains the same, if they aren’t willing to proceed with...

Agree with this. It was a decent sub as the ball just kept coming back. JCH did well when he came on. I would still start with Hiwula and Chaplin (sure that will surprise you) on Saturday. Got to give the partnership another go. Also for me JCH appears to have a greater impact from the bench.

One they are being sued by ? Not unless they needed the cash/benefits of the tenant remaining. If Wasps need us then fair enough

    Trust response to Tim Fisher

The trust have obviously got to support whatever is best for the club, however, I also struggle to see why sisu don’t just give it a rest. The judges judgements and comments in the past suggest SISU are more than likely going to be unsuccessful if they take it any further. I presume at one...

Our supportive fans ! Not ideal however could possibly be moved further forwards if we are struggling in Thomas’ absence. Can put in a good ball

Match Thread Coventry City vs. Charlton Athletic Match Thread - Wednesday 26th Dec

Didn’t really catch him too badly (because he jumped !!!). Agree though could easily have been a red due to it being dangerous/lacking control (like the one on Willis against Luton). Probably would’ve been in the Prem.

I did, otherwise I’d say I would rather we didn’t keep him. As I indicated, he’s probably a bit overpriced because of the situation (they knew we were desperate to get him) but yeah, I would still buy him. I think he’ll come good (and being involved in 7 goals in 15/16 starts isn’t that bad...

Coward...bless ! Yeah, it’s frightening giving an opinion on here !! I’ve shared my views on both bayliss and Chaplin today. I also said I’d keep Chaplin Just to respond to the other comments: Portsmouth knew we were desperate to sign him and that we had sold our main goalscorer, mcnulty. So...

I don’t decide the cost of players (nor do they), managers and the market do. Are there loads of goalscorers available for £500k, I don’t know. If we aren’t going to play to his strengths then you could be right, but yes, I would keep him. The price tag is partly because Portsmouth knew we...
