Video Bryan Richardson Interview | Arrival and Early Days

I accept this, but the building of the RA is the catalyst to our downfall - it was his brainchild. This id imagine is not technically banned - as they’d be owned by the club, the money was provided by a director - I just suppose he’d have a say at when the player is sold

Video Bryan Richardson Interview | Arrival and Early Days

I’m very much in agreement with you - Richardson is for me the devil incarnate. If I recall a lot of the stadium plan was built on England getting the 06 World Cup and the grants from FIFA and the FA we’d have received

Do we know how much we were renting HR back for?

Video Bryan Richardson Interview | Arrival and Early Days

To be honest if I recall - Robinson funded Keane basically to flip him for profit. That still could have happened. I’d imagine the Honduran and Peruvian adventures didn’t pay off like they wanted on top of renting back HR, ITV Digital collapse and paying for a stadium we couldn’t afford had...

Possibly... but the whole selling Highfield Road and the deals to build the Ricoh Arena surely outweigh the 6 months we had of Robbie Keane

Yes.. as stated, they all wanted in on the stadium, and I bet they weren’t getting anywhere near what Wasps offered

Les adds to the pile on

No, but I’m sure Simon Gilbert, David Conn, The Sky Blue Trust have pointed this all out. In this whole saga, it’s difficult to find someone who is truly balanced between the parties.

And which owners would have came in and said hmmm - 1.3 million a year rent and no hope of buying any income for less than 24 million?

Nobody thinks it’s ok... but if the landlords of the only stadium in Coventry want us to sign up to terms that could bankrupt us What do you expect would happen?

Rod Liddle article in Sunday Times today

Thing is... that probably would have resulted in no club. The council were only dealing with SISU.

    Robins speaks !

That’s a council problem then. If the EC rule in favour of SISU - couldn’t they throw the costs of a new stadium into any civil claim?

I thought that, he effectively says “yeah wasps and the council are tossers - but sisu out”

Went on to read the statement and it appears that the trust members don’t like criticism of Wasp/Council

Rod Liddle article in Sunday Times today

I’d like to see the Wasps sympathies... most of them seem to think they’ve been doing us a favour. Not one Wasps fan has said, “wasps presence is really hindering Coventry City - we should return to London”

Whilst I don’t disagree with you re: administration, we’d still be in a similar position paying 1.2 million in rent, albeit with different owners Remember, the council didn’t want to sell (hence why sisu were the only bidders) and they had no intention of lowering the rent
