Rod Liddle article in Sunday Times today

How many are actively and publicly sympathising with our plight? None! So as far as I’m concerned - if them going bust helps our predicament - then so be it

    Six fields v St Andrews.

This in itself shows the onerous nature of the rental deal. Why should we be milked and coerced because ACL couldn’t obtain other revenue? We shouldn’t have been paying 1.3 million in the first place, and if so we should have been offered a significant portion of the income and sponsorship money

Rod Liddle article in Sunday Times today

Fuck them - I would. They didn’t give a shit when they were moving to Coventry and all the damage it would do, so why should we give a shit if they go tits up

    Birmingham city fc

But then he wouldn’t have agreed with the council and wasps taking us for a ride - so kind of catch 22
  5. H

    A different point

Both at the moment, I suppose it would be nice if the council could do what they did with Wasps and assist in finding a location for us to buy into

Why will they not sell up

Yes, paying 1.3 million a year for no revenue whatsoever - we got relegated as they made the club stand on its own two feet, and couldn’t afford to invest in the playing squad. Imagine the playing budget if we were still paying that whilst in league 2. They’ve a lot to answer for - but...

    A different point

Yes massive question - one that our owners still have to answer... but until that’s built, where do we play?
  8. H

    A different point

Ok, I get the “morally wrong” thing, but what choice do we have but to leave the city? What other football ground can they play at? Would you rather the club indemnify Wasps in case the EC commission finds any wrongdoings?
  9. H

Why will they not sell up

That’s is the ideal solution, but unfortunately who’s got the Money to shell out on Wasps and CCFC debt

Call to Arms first game of the season.

To be fair anybody who claims to support Coventry City backing Wasps and the council- is a grade A traitorous c**t and probably should be spat at and ostracised for the foreseeable future
  11. H

Why will they not sell up

We all want new owners - but then what? Be stuck with a shitty rental deal on Wasps terms? What you mean you don’t agree? The point was making was SISUs ills are reversible - when they fuck off, we’ll still be left with our football stadium owned by a franchise rugby team with the choice of...

Why will they not sell up

Point is whatever sisu have done is reversible, what the council and wasps have done isn’t. I’d also suggest that Brian Richardson, Robinson et al are much worse owners as they were big causes of the initial situation we were in
  13. H

Why will they not sell up

The club is worth what SISU are willing to accept.
  14. H

Why will they not sell up

Plenty of Suitors? We have no stadium... what you actually want is Hoffman to come in and allow us to get shafted by Wasps Ideally a mad man comes in with billions and builds us our own stadium

    Boycott serves no purpose.

Likewise not many other fans groups would support and applaud a franchise rugby team displacing their football team in a ground built for them
  16. H

    Boycott serves no purpose.

Maybe because SISU have a vested and financial interest in us being successful. The council have showed multiple times that they’re not interested in the local economy. Ironically they pushed us into the West Midlands Combined Authority... our money is probably supporting construction in...

    Boycott serves no purpose.

I agreed with the boycott of Northampton - there was always a stadium to come back to. There isn’t one in Coventry. What irritated me last time, was some boycotters were the ones who complained loudly when the squad wasn’t invested in and Clarke was signed. Can’t have your cake and eat it
  18. H

    Boycott serves no purpose.

If you can explain how this would work and why it would make SISU agree to indemnify any potential losses from a EC investigation, then I’m all ears.

    They're at it again

Seriously who cares? They’ve been hellbent on creating a rivalry - stop feeding the trolls,
  20. H

    St Andrews confirmed!

Let’s take our money to Birmingham city centre instead of the Holbrook area... boost that economy. Let’s face it - the council preferred that when they voted us into the West Midlands Combined Authority
