    The Council

Well if that’s the case, we should be asking why our council has made a catastrophic error? Kind of like when they’ve got to come up with a plan to reduce pollution and they can’t even do that

    Wasps pull out...

Further to that, the lease extension and the sale of the councils half was never made available apart from secret talks with wasps

    Wasps pull out...

Yeah but considering the council had a veto on that sale - could that be deemed as control? And therefore indirectly being involved

    Wasps pull out...

But then could they look at whether the conditions affected the tax payer? If not surely they should have accepted the higher offer

    Wasps pull out...

Couldn’t SISU argue that their offer was worth more to the taxpayer then?

    Wasps pull out...

Would the EC look at it as - was that deal available to anyone else? Or just wasps - and if so would they deem that unlawful?

    The Ricoh..

I’m sure they tried that in the initial deal when we sold our share. The council had us over a barrel and insisting on a straights 1.2 million regardless. I’m sure Richardson when he resurfaced a few years back or somebody else explained that they even turned down more money if we were to get...

    Back your football club

I’ve already worked out my pub route to St Andrews

    Have the Trust made theirs?

    The Ricoh..

If I remember - the council were never entertaining a deal on the scale of wasps purchase, and were never going to negotiate the rent. It’s the only reason the council agreed to our sale to SISU.

    The Ricoh..

I’d hope there’s a 50/50 partnership agreed - as much as I hate the idea, that’s the very least we’d need. If it’s just a rental deal it’ll just put a ceiling on the club for the foreseeable future

    The Next Statement

I mean wasn’t everyone saying we had to selling the Ricoh because the taxpayer needed to be safe guarded? Why is everyone against the EC potentially recovering money for the tax payer now?

    The Ricoh..

The only thing Wasps want is more subservient tenants, I’m all for new owners as long as they fight for our true value. Not whatever pittance wasps decide to give us

    The Ricoh..

Wasps are here because the council thought it was a good idea to milk and screw the football club years before SISU took over.. The council are common denominator - and the ones who stand to lose if a complaint to the EU succeeds.

    The Ricoh..

If we get kicked out of the Ricoh I really hope SISU succeed in Europe. The plastics in Coventry can slink off to supporting Man Utd and Liverpool again. And sorry to real Wasps fans - as we clearly collateral damage to you, the demise of your team would be gleefully met by myself

    The Ricoh..

The case is dropped, this is an investigation from the commission, not SISU. Brought out of a complaint made in February whilst legal action was ongoing. Whilst I agree we need new owners, we want someone who isn’t going to pander to wasps demands - we do have a significant value, and should...
